that's what I thought. He is still a BOOB!Maybe he's just Gronk and thought the audience would think it was funny, so he just said it.

So true. Gronk is so salty and seems to go out of his way to bash BB and pats. The Detroit trade attempt may be part of it but perhaps he did miss out on incentive $?Funny joke.
If you are a FA planning to visit NE, beware of incentive laden contracts because the Pats will cheat you out of your money. Disparaging comments with the intent to paint the Patriots in a bad light are nothing new out of the Big Dummy from Buffalo, NY. Upon arriving in the Sunshine state, he has ripped the Pats for being too rigid and now they are cheap.
I agree, but after a near death experience with Lawyer Milloy at Parentis with me yelling to him that he should re-sign with the Pats offer, I would strongly advise not saying this to Gronk in person no matter how good natured he seems. If any other 30-something was still playing the frat boy persona like Gronk does, he would be considered a loser.
Absolutely!!!Gronk is an idiot.
Most people who are famous, whether it is in sports, politics, music, film, etc., are people whom you would rather cheer for than room with.Gronk is the greatest TE in league history. Despite injuries, he’s put up amazing numbers and has more highlight catches than 99.9% of players.
Having said that, just like Brady, he’s a weirdo. That’s ok. You can both be a weirdo and supremely talented. The king of pop comes to mind. As does Lennon. Prince was bizarro.
Personal note : Gronk seems like the kind of person I’d rather cheer for than room with.
I’m pretty sure he’s referring to 2018. They wouldn't have won a ring that year without reverting back to a power running team and asking him to block more... Gronk might have a little more coin in his pocket but would have one fewer rings.
Sacrificing for the team is what leads to success. No use crying about it now. Also there’s this…
He played 70% of the offensive snaps in the final game of 2017, Tom passed the ball 37 times… if he didn’t reach his incentives it wasn’t because of some conspiracy to prevent it.I think he's referring to 2017.
I think he had incentives tied to reaching 70 catches. He finished with 69 catches and wasn't targeted in the last game.
Although trying to dig things up everything I find is 70 catches OR several other escalators he did hit. Which is weird because I remember it being that he did miss his incentives.

He could just be salty about his final few contract extensions which were largely incentive based, but if so that’s on him.
The team was up to their eyeballs in cap debt from “going all in” to win. He agreed to play for those deals presumably because he wanted to play with Tommy and win…. and did. Contracts are a two way street, nobody forced him to sign those deals.

The 70 catch incentive was moot because he had the necessary 1000 yards to reach that tier of incentives. The next tier required either 80 catches or 1200 yards. He missed those marks by 11 catches or 116 yards, but then got the maximum incentive anyway because he was voted All Pro.I think he's referring to 2017.

BB has zero input on where targets go. Is Gronk sure Tom is really his friend? He had 69 catches. He needed 70 for incentives.
Brady threw it 37 times, Gronk played 70% of snaps, and NOT A SINGLE BALL was thrown to Gronk...
Maybe BB just thought it would be funny for Gronk to finish the year with 69 catches
