I think Boutte is better than pop honestly. I think Boutte has tons of talent was and awesome at LSU before hurting ankle pretty badly. Now he is back on track and playing some good ball! Hope both of them have big days in Fishlandia
I have always like k. Boutte is was advocating for him on the forum to be featured more and now he's a starter as he should be. Pop is a volume guy, see how Drake went back to him on the TD pop can get open in a phone booth. He plays from the slot and it requires volume throws behind LBs and in-between safeties. Becuase the running game wasn't a factor it directecly impacted pop.

They are that way because the majority of Boston sports fans are negative, that’s why the Felger and Mazz show is so popular and does good in the ratings (I do not listen to them).

Look it here, after week 1 there are calls to replace the QB. In the other games thread last night, after one quarter there were a couple people saying the Bears got the better coach.

Agree 100%. One thing Rick Pitino was right about is that the negativity of Boston sports fans sucks. And I hate constant negativity. I can understand it when you have owners like the Jacobs, who don’t give one **** about building a championship caliber team, and are only in it for the money, but love or hate Kraft he definitely wants to win. Is he the greatest owner, no, but he’s far from the worst.
WTF
The kid has 2 seasons of College and just starting his 2nd season in the Pro’s (1st season was a partial)
He’s 22 yrs old. Has had a different system all 4 years playing
Has a ton of talent
Give the kid some ****ing time please
If he gets better at TO’s this season then we are trending in the right direction
The rest will come with reps and filmroom
I’m confident he’s the real deal
I’m sure they are all as critical on themselves at their job
They probably wet their pants when the boss gives them some constructive criticism

As opposed to guys like Brady and Manning who had 5 and 4 years of college, and then Brady sat for a year learning the offense, and Manning led the league in interceptions his rookie season (iirc). It takes time to learn pro offenses and how to read pro defenses, and even then they are still really complex. Whereas on the other hand it’s really really really easy sit on your ass and get drunk and yell WTF is he doing, he should have hit that guy, he missed a wide open receiver, that was a stupid ****ing throw. In truth any idiot can do that, all it takes is alcohol and a big mouth. Just ask Patsfan2, he does it on every play.

I agree with you. I think Boutte has more skill and football comprehension than Pop, while Pop is more athletic and positive. I think Boutte's issue was injury, attitude, and motivation recovering from two ankle surgeries. People don't realize that. His head got into a bad place. The dog has shown nothing but determination and hard work since he got into the league, especially under BB's thumb. This is year three, and this is typically when WR break out. I think that is what we are seeing. Its all coming together for him.

Just a reminder: he was projected to be a first-round pick before his surgery, and possibly top 10.

People need to stop with this narrative.
He was a “potential” first round pick after his FRESHMAN season.
Those projections went away after his surgeries and drop off in production.
He was never projected as a first rd pick as his ncaa career progressed, never!

So, it’s ok for you to use this forum to **** on people all day every single day, but it’s not ok to give you **** for that? Good luck with that.

The negativity is part of what puts pressure on the teams to be good. The owners, coaches, and players will get absolutely torched by the media and fans if they suck.

Some people may not like it but I’d rather the media put the team’s feet to the fire rather than just live in happy land regardless of wins or losses.

Pot/kettle. This sounds familiar to me.

Agreed, but there’s a difference between accountability and constant negativity for the sake of ratings, which we often see here.

Wrong, I wasn’t ’relying’ on anything I just wasn’t gonna waste more than 2 mins on numbers when the examples were valid given he mentioned the jets.

Like I said, Darnold had such a good year that the vikings didn’t keep him. You’d think a 3-1 QB would be worth paying for over a rookie no? Except we all saw how Darnold ended the season, same old guy in reality. No amount of patience makes him an elite QB.

The rest about the jets is irrelevant, that just proves the point that moving on from the QB’s is not the sole reason they are ****, which was in fact upstarters argument.

As for drake, as ive said multiple times now, let’s hope he shows something this season to suggest he can be elite in time. Otherwise no problem looking again, the second post you’ve made your own narrative to argue against, so enjoy yourself.

It took me less than a Minute to add up Smith's numbers from the last 3 years. So spare everyone your garbage responses.

Contrary to your blathering, Upstarter's argument was that when your a crap organization and don't take the time to develop your QB, you end up throwing out the baby with the bathwater and repeating the cycle of being garbage.

We saw what you said. It's garbage and you clearly haven't bothered to look at what Maye HAS shown nor have you taken his age into consideration.

No. I didn't "make my own narrative". Not surprising that you aren't capable of understanding that your attitude is the problem and that you can't handle legit arguments.

Then why do the Bruins suck?

The negativity is just miserable people being miserable, they don’t put any pressure on billionaires. The only thing that puts pressure on billionaires is losing money, because that’s all most of them care about, and they can never get enough of it.

You can listen to their whining all you want to, I never will. To me sports is supposed to be fun , not misery.

Sure, fine. But it would have made no difference yesterday. Receiver separation wasn't an issue in the slightest.
Just gives Maye more options.

Just gives Maye more options.
You mean gives Josh more options.

The reality is that the option is taken when they decide who will be active. The team will not, and should not, have six WR's active.

The only reason that 5 are active is so that Williams can get a few reps (more each game). Eventually, I would expect only four to be active.

As it is, having 5 WR's active means that Brown was the backup RG and LG, since it would take an additional spot to activate Wallace.

If he doesn’t get it next week they should just cut him and trade for Mac Jones, that should make the crybabies happy.
Niners won’t trade their current starting QB, even for our starting QB.

Who could blame them? Mac tore the league up last season after the Jags stole him for a 6th round pick. And it’s obvious that Drake Maye is a bust, the experts on quarterback fundamentals have weighed in and told us so. At any rate Vrabel and Co. should be fired if they lose this week. They have had almost 6 months to turn them into a Super Bowl contender and failed miserably, just ask Patsfan2 or signbabybill, they’ll tell you. 0-2 is completely unacceptable, they will never get home field advantage throughout the playoffs. They should hire Chip Kelly to be their coach, he will throw a hundred times a game, and that’s the secret to success.

What about me makes you think I don't love Vrabel and am not patient?

Everything I've said about the coaching mistakes the last few years is that we were lucky Vrabel was available because he very well could bail out a bad firing followed by a bad hire. If Vrabel wasn't there we'd have had to settle for someone like Schotenheimer and possibly be in a coaching cycle of our own making but instead we are lucky.

Maybe if you weren't so busy hating Bill all the time you'd understand.

Said this in another thread, one glaring noticeable problem with the offense is a lack of downfield speed.

Play Kyle Williams on the outside, even if it means someone else plays less.

They need to stretch the defense and force them to defend every blade of grass.
