I tried to read it on my office's browser of choice... IE8. This is what I got:

Sorry, but if you wish to partake in The Onion's unparalleled journalism, you will need to download a browser more capable of basking in the glow of our superior contributions to the advancement of human society.

I feel like I just got roasted.

Nope, your office IT just got roasted. If they are lucky they have not yet gotten pwned. IE8 is way out of date. Should be upgraded ASAP. Are they still running Win95 as well?

seriously, bug them about it. I do IT security for my job, outdated IE is really a bad idea. Outdated Windoze is equally bad. And make sure they patch Flash, or get rid of it entirely.

best line: Team sources also confirmed that every player on the Patriots roster has thus far refused to call Garoppolo by his self-appointed nickname, “The Future.”

Guaranteed they're running Windows XP. IT is well aware that it's no longer supported, and all of the vulnerabilities that entails, but the higher-ups won't approve the expense of upgrading because IT doesn't drive revenue. They won't care until they get compromised, at which point they'll complain that IT didn't do its job.

I don't work in IT, but in virtually every small/medium office environment I've seen, that was always how it went. This is what happens when computer-illiterate folks are given final say on the matter.

Flash = PITA

Trust me, that browser warning is funnier and more inventive than the article.

As someone who has spent his whole summer in his first IT job, I don't like to hear this but it confirms my suspicions.
