ERNIE SIMS

WHY???

Because the Ravens are supposed to take him but they take Bunkley and the Ravens then go with Chad Jackson instead of Sims. Sims then starts falling as he becomes the annointed FALLEE...all the way to a smiling Belichick who has his next Rodney Harrison...Sims becomes an All-Pro on ST's and gives the Patriots a true pass rusher for a year as he learns from the best in the business - Rodney Harrison and becomes the Patriots SS of the future.

Sims and Belichick redefine the SS position as the Patriots become the 1st team to regularly employ the Nickle LB as a weapon to counter the double pass catching TE teams of the future.

DeAngelo Williams
Chad Greenway
Tye Hill

One of the above, if just one of those falls to us @ 21 I rekon we would take them.

Wow, you're the first person I've seen converting him to safety. Interesting....

Ernie Sims won't get past the Vikings at 17.

1st choice: Jimmy Williams
2nd choice: Winston Justice

You've picked everybody but Reggie Bush, guess I gotta do the dirty work here - Go Houston, take the OT you morons!

Chad Jackson- into the 20's

I've got a gut feeling about that as well - that Jackson will not be the first WR taken and that he will be there for the Patriots, who will shock everyone by taking him.

I've also lately heard some draft experts on NFL radio questioning the resolve of Bobby Carpenter... that while he has the skills, he was always the last of his teammates to be part of a play. If that type of Intel is out there on this guy I wouldn't be surprised to see him slide.

Sims would be a weapon on a team like the Colts that use smaller LB's to seal the edge. But, I look at it this way...assuming we don't trade up into the top 12 or so...who is left that would have a major impact for the Patriots next season?

Sims, without question changes the team dramatically because you're getting a faster, bigger Rodney Harrison w/o the experiance of course.

I'm thinking, look at how much we missed Rodney last year...now we go from no Rodney to having 2 of them.

Sims can rush the QB, ST's...he could be the extra back in the dime package covering RB's and TE's. There is lots he can do while he learns...so you get an impact player who provides impact even w/o playing the position he will end up in.

Broderick Bunkley
Brodrick has been steadily rising, not falling.

Vince Young.

That's exactly how Ernie Sims plays (and Monty Beisel for that matter). They just aren't involved in that many plays. He'll make some highlight reel plays, but he's away from the play alot and isn't the go and get em type LB.

If they take Jackson in the first round I will weep for days over the wasted pick.

IMO, Vernon Davis falls and gets picked up between 15 - 20.

Martz would be back in the hospital if his GM passed on the TE freak.

IMO, I have a hard time seeing Detroit drafting for offense yet again.

Issues cost both these top 10-15 talents to drop out of the first round. It happens every year. These kids cost themselves hundreds of thousands, or even millions, of guaranteed money. These cases should really be pointed out to prospects in some subtle way. It just boggles the mind how often this happens.

Actually i felt the same, though I fine w/ him @ 37.

The Bears passed on all 3 top WRs in the 1st round & then passed on Moss again in the 2nd. Then picked his college teammate & return specialist, Devin Hester with their other 2nd round pick. lol
