i cant wait for the first gameday thread if things start going bad..

I'm proud of you @Whitt25

Thanks, man. I really wish we could all stick together on this one -- NE fans, players, etc. Could you imagine if the whole Pats Nation moved as one entity, boycotted as one, said "**** you, Goodell!" as one?

Edit: I'm dreaming here, but if the movement was powerful enough, maybe other teams would've joined us. We're not the only team who's been ****ed over by Goodell.

I'm not giving him grief. He can do whatever he wants. Just, in looking at it from a psychological standpoint, I don't see why someone who isn't going to watch for ethical or moral reasons would have to broadcast on a website and message board about football that he isn't watching. I would think that those who are serious about it just simply wouldn't watch and, thus, wouldn't have a reason to post.

Perhaps he's looking for others to join the cause? Kaepernick did his thing, and lo and behold, two others joined him last night!

There are better ways to send a message than not watching a game no one will ever know(or care) you didn't watch.

This is the only way you can send the message to the corrupt 32. Money is the only language they speak. There is simply no other way to send the message. Unfortunately the message won't be heard because we won't all unite and do this together.

Personally I will always watch the Pats. I'm done with the rest of the NFL though, I won't be making a point of watching any of the other games.

I will never buy anything with an NFL logo on it ever again, also won't pay for cable. They lost me with this one.

Do I think it really makes a difference to the NFL? Of course not, but it makes me feel a hell of a lot better.

It is what it is. At the end of the day it is still just a game as well, despite how much I enjoy it. I save protesting for causes that actually affect me and my own life in a personal way. Protesting against forms of entertainment won't get you very far. That's just my opinion.

Let the players be the ones to protest. They're the ones that, hmm... yknow, are actually the ones getting paid by these guys?

I think this goes way beyond the Brady suspension. The primary problem with the NYJFL* is their money before morality motto. They don't give a damn about domestic abuse, sexual assault, child abuse, retired players suffering from post football injuries. All they want is their money. So they'll try to sweep as much of it under the rug as they can. Doing the right thing is not in their motto.

Don't fight for Tom Brady. Fight for all the survivors of domestic abuse, sexual assault, child abuse, and retired football players. Because the NYJFL* sure as hell don't care about them. They don't even care about people battling cancer either.

The entire world should not contribute one more cent to the NYJFL* in any way for 2 years at least. Then we, as a united front, dictate the terms for which the corrupt 32 must accept. This is the only way change will happen. But this will never happen.

I salute everyone who is doing this and I take a bow to you all. You're much better than all of us. You fight for what's right. Mad respect to you all!

I am only watching NFL if pats are in the superbowl

Edit: More specifically, October 9th, since game 4 is an October game without TB.

Don't care if I'm alone in this, and there will be a struggle not to watch any Pats football for another month, but my will is strong, my spirit is strong, and I can find plenty things to keep me busy (Madden probably being one of them. No, not the new one).

If the Pats go 4-0 or 3-1 serving up a big F-U to G0odell and the NFL, you're going to be kicking yourself for not having enjoyed the ride. But I think you'll be watching.

I'll be watching, but with the understanding that those 4 games are attempts at rigging.

It would be glorious to see the Pats beat the rigging.

You know nothing, Jon Snow. I've been ready-

and unlike many fans who worship the NF[ixed]L and the NE Patriots, I won't even struggle or care. I skipped it with ease in 2008, when Brady went down. It lacks the magic and appeal without him. Combine that with all the lack of starpower in the league and the NFL is in the toilet-- well at least they will downgrade to NBA, WWE (no faker than "real" sports) and MLB levels of public interest.

So expect a huge fix, to keep the masses on the edge. Some Jimmy-mania or some ish. Karma or deja-vu in New England, and why not? He's handsome, will be (appearing to be) good at his position, single and has an appealing body for the ladies, and he's ****y now (like Brady was before) and soon he will be a league robot, like Brady, saying all the right things to the press, with those fake pathos-filled segments on ESPN and CBS about his family and underdog bull-ish. Heck, that might even win him an award-- SB MVP anyone?

That smile! How can you not like this guy? He could land the Kardashian model and become even bigger than Brady-- in terms of gossip and becoming over-hype as a result.

I expect the Patriots to go 3-1 or 4-0. Upsetting the Cardinals, losing to Buffalo, beating Miami and squeezing by those sorry Texans. What way to get the Jimmy hype train started by watching him beat Arizona's hot defense and whooping overrated JJ Watt, a feat Brady has accomplished too many times. I can't wait to see the sheep debating over Patriots QBs in October. It's what's good for the 32, given Brady's projected years remaining in the league. They are desperate for StarPOWER. Shoot, Brady might even scrape his toe this time and be put on IR, because a band-aid ain't protection enough. Well I expect to be back here in 4 weeks, unless some major Brady news surface. Until then... keep it real!

That was actually very entertaining to read, even if I don't fully agree with the fixed/rigged part (I believe certain games -- not any of ours, though -- are rigged). Why have I never seen your posts before?
