THE OFFICIAL WHO THE HELL'S STILL NOT WATCHING NFL UNTIL OCTOBER THREAD

I guess I must have misinterpreted "it will be a struggle not to watch but my will is strong, my spirit is strong"

It WILL be a struggle to watch for me. I nearly lost one of my jobs because I wouldn't leave the break room when a Pats game was on (in my defense, I was much younger and immature lol). I've had to stop talking to people during the season because they're Jets/Giants/Broncos/Dolphins fans. So I'm a diehard who wants to believe he has enough will and spirit to not watch. But, hey, if you believe me trying to motivate myself by saying my will and spirit is strong = Jesus incarnate, go ahead.

So if you don't care what anyone else thinks and you're doing it because you choose to, then why are you making a topic about it?

Because the title says, "WHO THE HELL'S STILL NOT WATCHING" meaning who else besides myself. If this were all just about me, I would've went with "THE OFFICIAL I'M NOT WATCHING THREAD."

^^ This was who was probably telling you in the other thread that you'll be watching.

Lol, yeah, that's him. He didn't respond to me, though. I came when the thread was just about dead. This time I got him. See, kids? Dreams do come true. He responded to me. Me!

@ReverendMaynard will be watching as well. Glued to the TV, I think. Dislike button is here ------------------v

you betcha I'm watching.........why wouldn't I?

I'll be there Sunday night too. There may come a time where my viewership will tail off things don't improve, but I'm not quite at that point yet personally.

I like watching football as part of an entire event of drinking and eating

I will continue to watch football, the Patriots in particlar, at the same level I have since I dumped my season tickets.......if I don't, my wife will put me to work

I'll be watching Week 1, since it's a Sunday Night game...I don't have a Nielsen box, and the next time a commercial convinces me to buy something will be the first.

After Week 1 I am still torn. As I have said I'm a previous thread, I don't live in the local Boston area. I need Sunday Ticket to watch the team. I am a hardcore fan, but I don't want the NFL to have my money. I don't want to stream it because I think it sends the wrong message to my sons. Which set of morals wins out? I will most likely cave and pay for it. If I'm a fan but I can't watch most of the games, how much of a fan am I?

I'm glad that I decided to somewhat troll this thread when it became apparent that someone was going to take the bait. I just had a good laugh picturing in my head a grown man clicking a "dislike" button out of pure vindictive spite over another grown man inferring that a third grown man will be watching football. If that's not high comedy, then I don't know what is.

Don't care if I'm alone in this, and there will be a struggle not to watch any Pats football for another month, but my will is strong, my spirit is strong, and I can find plenty things to keep me busy (Madden probably being one of them. No, not the new one).

Without taking a position on this specific issue, I appreciate your taking of it to an ethical/moral level. Those here who are giving you grief about it, trying to make it into a simple transactional/psychological/business issue, are living in a tragic form of poverty which is to be pitied.

I'm awaiting the delivery of a jailbroken Fire Stick (you can find them on eBay). Supposedly, you get every sporting event around the world broadcast in crystal clear, perfect view on your television (or so I've been told). I'll let you know how it turns out.

I'm not giving him grief. He can do whatever he wants. Just, in looking at it from a psychological standpoint, I don't see why someone who isn't going to watch for ethical or moral reasons would have to broadcast on a website and message board about football that he isn't watching. I would think that those who are serious about it just simply wouldn't watch and, thus, wouldn't have a reason to post.
