I wonder if soon teams will be able to use artificial intelligence to call plays. Then it won’t matter who the OC is.
Probabl possible within 2-3 years. AI could be better than Johnson or Reid

Vrabel has the opportunity to build this team in his vision with all the draft picks and cap money. I was encouraged listening to his press conference, he's going to build this team to a contender in a couple years.

I winder if soon teams will be able to use artificial intelligence to call pkays. Then it won’t matter who the OC is.

Throw all available information into a computer, and have AI develop a game plan based on weakness.

Maybe it could even make in-game adjustments.

You would need a bunch of trackers I would think for that to happen. Plus I imagine there will be a rule making it illegal to use during games.

The NFL would actually love and encourage this. Helps them get rid of coaches. Who needs to pay Vrabel $15m a year?

You can bet that all teams except the Jets are already using AI in some form.

The Patriots might be using AI when they google something or write emails, but I doubt last year's group was using it much beyond.

I think AI could be very good but I still think its going to always lack that one thing that you cant explain. Its going to look at hundreds of variables and simulate a play a million times in a second and make an instant recommendation based on probability. But what it cant do is have a gut feeling you cant explain, you just know or look a player in the eyes and see they are simply not going to fail. How do you ever teach AI to be able to factor those critical points that aren't always black and white in the decision making process.

Can't pin tonight on Johnson.

That was squarely on Goff and Glenn.

At least Goff already got his fat contract. Glenn may have cost himself a HC job.

The defense was decimated by injuries and simply could not stop Washington's offense. It put tremendous pressure on Goff and he had to take risks.

I blame it on unfortunate slew of injuries to the defense....but Goff and Glenn both came out looking bad

That halfback pass probably wasn't the best call.

But yeah he's still getting a head coaching job.

Glenn too. Perfect match Jets aren't getting better and he just let up 45 pts. Jete
