Yeah, I said they played decent enough to win. Even when they struggled vs. the Steelers, the team still had a chance in the end despite Pitt dominating the clock. How soon we forgot Brady's 4 picks helped the Bills alot and was technically the difference.

Yeah, every defense plays well enough to win if its offense scores more than the other team. However, the Pittsburgh and Bills loses showed Patriots defenses that were lousy and cost the team the games. Saying the defense played well enough to win is disingenuous, because the defense sucked in those games.

As for the Buffalo game, "technically the difference" was that the Patriots defense couldn't stop the Bills from putting up 24 points in the second half.

Let's blame Tom Brady for the defensive woes for the New England Patriots. Brilliant!

The point people have made about our defense playing a competent offense is that they haven't done so since they've "improved". The Giants totally moved at will when it counted. Pittsburgh offense also were able to keep our offense off the field by keeping the ball so long because of our defense inability to get off the field. Those two offenses dictated what they wanted to do and our defense couldn't stop them when it counted. Those two are the type of teams with good QBs that we're gonna be facing in the playoffs.

It's a fair question to ask how our defense is gonna play since their improvement when we go up against QBs who know what they are doing.
