Well, this is turning out to be way closer than I expected, but not for any of reasons you'd ordinarily think they'd be.
The protection on the offensive line has been good tonight, but the run defense and defense overall has been abysmal. Mayo's absence is showing up immensely tonight. They need to adjust to a more aggressive, attacking style. The off-coverage zone-based scheme is not getting done tonight.
I refuse to believe that the loss of Mayo makes our run d so pathetic . Other players have to step up , they are looking like they don't want to be there.
