Mallett does look good, but I still guess I don't really understand what he's doing here. I mean, I think it's a good gig for him, but what's the end game for the Patriots?

You develop, train and pay a guy for a year just to move up 20 or 30 spots in the draft the next year? I mean, if he fetches a 1, then it was great. But picking a guy at 74 and then getting, say, pick 45 or 50 a year later because he's signed as an RFA. Is it really worth the investment?

Probably the fact that Brady is 34 and isn't going to play forever.

Laughing my ass off at the beer guy.

Oh no, the Sam Adams guy. Remember when he came on last year and he was totally hammered?

I haven't seen the game, but that won't stop me from asking questions and offering comments

It makes sense that Hoyer would feel more comfortable with Price/Slater given his role on the 2nd team.

I noticed i nthe box score that butler had 5 solo tackles (out of 5 tackles). Is he looking that bad? Is he playing slot or any hope he can play slot?

Hernandez seems to be catchign everything, but 2 fumbles...get it out of your system during pre-season.

on a side note, Tim Tebow is playing like a beast

You pick him because you never know. Remember when Brady got picked? We all said he'd never make the field because Michael Bishop was ahead of him.

It always makes sense to pick good players, regardless of your roster.

...this defense. Maybe we should use these guys over the starters! I'm excited!

You (or anyone) don't think he could be the future QB here? Hell hoyer looks great tonight....he could fetch some draft picks!

Who else was waiting for Jim Koch to say " I want to kiss you" to Steve Burton?

If Price gets the hang of the return game, then it's bye bye Tate for real.

Sounds like he's hammered again

Yeah, he sounded like he's taste tested a few beers tonight - but this was nothing at all in comparison to his in-game promo for Sam Adams a year ago.
