If the rumors are true that he could have been had for a second then not trading for him is colossally stupid considering that even with the lolweed "problem" his odds of being more productive than any random second rounder are astronomically higher.
First, he is one step away a lifetime ban with the ability to petition to come back after a year. No guarantees he gets back after a year. But there is no one year suspension. It is a lifetime ban, but most players only get a year.
Second, He had three 100 games and 3 TDs in his first seven games. He has had four 100 games with two of them over 200 yard games straight and 6 TDs since (including this one). No he didn't come on until after the trade deadline. Including this game, he has had more yards in the last four games than he had in the first seven games of the season.

That wasn't sarcasm. Everyone screwed up evaluating Josh Gordon. He's obviously better than most 2nd round draft picks.
I'm saying EVERYONE is stupid. The Browns for shopping him for a 2nd rounder and everyone else for not taking him. But it's obviously difficult to evaluate receivers after 1 season with a terrible QB. Everyone screwed up in a situation where it is easy to screw up.
