My point is the Pats lined up in a 3/4 with Wilfork at Tackle when they force the first fumble. I think Denver was ill prepared for a 3/4 look.

If Carter is out for a while then the 3/4 may be seeing a resurgence. If that is the case we will need Fletcher and Spikes to step up.

Ken, I am so conflicted right now. The first quarter performance had me hanging my head in shame and leaving the thread. The second quarter was the antithesis.

Today, we're seeing what it means to have one of the greatest footballers of all time handling the offense. Without Brady, we're dead after the first. The D was able to rise in the second.

It's set for a curious second half, one which I hope the D continues their second quarter form for mentality's sake.

Right from the start I could see why it was happening. The ILBs HAVE to fill aggressively. If they do it will more difficult for them. At worst we will turn those 20 yd gains into 5 yd gains

Also with that fumble I doubt we see much of the option the rest of the way.. If the ILBs play the run first the first two downs regardless they will be find. Since Bud Wilkerson developed the 3-4 defense in the 50's the ILBs read when the G blocks out or down FIILL HTHE HOLE
