Agreed. And anybody who's hoping for the Patriots to re-sign both of their Tampa Bay Bad Boys should be a bit encouraged by this:

Talib explained that Blount is his best friend in the league. Blount stayed with him upon joining the Patriots -- a prime setup for a buddy comedy if there ever was one -- and now he is his next-door neighbor.

Game thoughts—

- Brady did not play his best. He struggled with accuracy all day on all distances. I’m not sure I can blame the elements since Thad was able to drive the ball consistently all day and make some nice throws. Glad this happened now and not in the playoffs against a good team.

- Our OL did some work yesterday. Scare the crap out of me when Mankins limped off though.

- Our defense did well for the most part, especially in the red zone. But 3rd and long is still a struggle between the 20’s. Arrington is always somehow involved in our defense giving up big plays.

- Refereeing is coming close to NBA level bad. The makeup calls that went against us after those two personal foul penalty against the Bills were dubious. Same thing happened against Baltimore last week.

- Going forward, we gotta get our outside receivers in the mix. They were rarely targeted yesterday after Dobson got hurt. Dinking and dunking in the playoffs require your offense to be perfect for long drives. We need big plays if we want to make a SB run.

Not exactly. You forgot about the $500,000 roster bonus which is typically paid out before June 1.

Roster Bonuses are typically paid out after Pre-season. Not prior to June 1. It's why they are called ROSTER bonuses. Because you will have made the ROSTER out of Training Camp and Pre-Season.
