I guess some posters think the Pats should just kneel down in that situation to avoid the chance of a TO. You know, because of all those fumbles they lost in the first three games.
No you don't. Both play very different functions on the field. Mayo is the brains, Spikes is the heart. Spikes, for all his aggression has made plenty of bad reads, and second guesses that have gone awry.
This team is not good enough to play at less than 100% and win at this stage. We can only hope things will get better from next week. But noone should call patriots "well prepared"
