The Official Patriots/Bills Postgame Thread

The D came up huge in some big spots but come on now.The bills lived in the pats territory all game long and they didnt finish drives.

The dolphins are a physical team.I gotta a bad feeling its gonna be a long day for this defense. The D definetly went backwards in this game.

IMO the D was better today than it was last week. Bad in both games, and has a habit of making crappy QBs look pretty good, but... eh. 23 points to the Bills, 28 to the Jets... at least they created turnovers in key situations today.

Offense was pretty much flawless aside from a few penalties and a fumble, all drive killers. We only stopped ourselves offensively today.

Defense wasn't as bad as the #'s indicate, Bills had alot of good field position and a kick return TD. That said, the Bills scored 17 points combined in the first 2 games and are a team we should do better against.

Woodhead looked really good replacing Faulk, looks like he can fill the role with good vision and speed but the clutch factor and recieving ability remains to be seen.

CB2 remains a concern.

Next weeks game in Miami is BIG fellas. The dolphins players & crowd is gonna be crazy loud & fired up..If the pats pull out a win there I will be very happy especially before the bye week.

If they play like indy e.g start fast and score a couple of times taking a two score lead, it can help our D.

Taking the lead always helps, but we don't have Freeney or Mathis bringing the heat

Happy with the offense

Unhappy with the defense and a few calls by the refs.

Overall....offense looked good.....VERY happy for BJGE.......defense is a wet paper bag and will be exploited often and badly. Many of our new, young players are going to be good several years from now....but not this year. I think Woodhead has the potential to be very explosive like Faulk and I am surprised that they didn't use him more......OL looked good,.....gronk and hernandez are going to be great for years to come.....Chung, Merriweather and Mayo looked good.....and Brady looked good today as well......that is about it....Going to be a very difficult game next week....

Our defense gave up 23 points to the worst offense in the nfl.

Outstanding game by BJGE. He deserves a game ball. Not just 16 carries for 98 yards, but on the last drive he had two carries up the sideline and did not step out (that would have stopped the clock). That is smart football.

He also has proven to be a legitimate outside running threat. He had a few bounce outs for serious gains.

Overall the D was not as awful as a lot of people are saying. It's just the one standout position and the pass rush. D line was decent, ILBs were good, McCourty good for the most part (TD looks like a communication breakdown), and our RCB position is in shambles.

ARe people really posting that our defense wasn't that bad? WHOAH!!!!!

I love this forum.

the refs gave bills 10 points easily the FG that has been mentioned and the KO return clearly should have come back.

I am just waiting to see whath te chicken little are going to say cause all thre arguement from last week are fixed

Mayo looked really good
Brady didn't "binkie"
the running game was fantastic

the only complant they might have is the #2 CB cause McCOurty still looks good and being avoided

We need a top 7 pick next year and get a fierce pass rusher. The need to address their picks squarely on D.

If you actually read what he posted, he said the defense wasn't as bad as people are making it out to be.

Reading is fundamental.

Well the bills were suposse to be a running team and they didn't run. The pats took it away

Man.... I thought we actually won this game....

After reading these threads, either we've got a huge number of chicken littles, or gamblers who are losing their shirts.

Patriots won. Now it's time to focus on Miami. :rocker:

Buffalo scored 30 points.

@ saying our problems have been fixed. This defense was pathetic.

That is as moronic a statement as I have ever heard all day. Pass-rushing was NOT our problem. In fact, we consistently pushed Fitzpatrick OUT of the pocket all day long!
