Seven more to be cut, by my count. These still remain:

Wynn (to IR)
Sam
Harris

Schwenke
Ferentz

Farrow
Poggi

Hope Sam makes it to the PS?

So JMac stuck?

No one’s saying they won’t be a factor but the offense will struggle somewhat through the first 4 games especially on 3rd down unless some of you think dorsett will finally put it together. Same goes for Patterson.

It's all about matchups. Can that crew of WRs, TEs and RBs create enough of a mismatch problem for opposing defenses. Yes they can.

Brady
Gronk
White
Hill
Michel
Burk
Edelman
Dorsett
Patterson
Allen

That's a really decent offensive package. imo

I think Dorsett put it together last season and looks to have taken another step this season.

Patterson is interesting. I can't figure out if he'll be on the field for 10 snaps a game or 30. He's a weapon and a distraction. We'll see. He should be fun to watch.

To me it's a complimentary game. So the question is, to me anyway, "can the offense score more points than the defense allows?". I say they can. But I also think the defense has improved over last season.

It's going to be another good year.

And one head hunting Safety takes out one guy and over half the playbook.
Need one or two more receivers.
Id be happy with a Braxton Miller claim at this point.
Id take Miller over Golden Tate.

We're not done yet, I know, but when I look at this roster, I think, "I hope Bill sees stuff I don't, and he probably does, but to me it looks pretty d----d anemic." Thank goodness the rest of the AFC East is as bad as they are. Any other division I think we'd get clobbered on a regular basis.

Hope springs eternal in large part because so many hopes go unrealized. I see far more causes for doubt in this roster than you do.

True but that raises another question. How will the new tackling rules affect this team offensively? I'm not sure. Could it benefit them in a complimentary sense? I think it could.

Age the fact Miller has more versatility gadget plays.
Tate is 30 and I saw the Decker signing play out.
Plus we play the Texans week one might have some knowledge and play a little harder.
Plus no pick compensation.

Yeah it feels cheap to win with tick tack penalties

I'll agree that I'm ever the optimist but it seems my optimism is closer to reality than the pessimistic's as the Pats have only been to the AFCCG seven times in a row.
