On the flip side, I was on the road and listened to most of the first half on the radio tonight, and I thought Zolak was solid and informative.
He's clearly still getting used to the role -- he seemed reluctant to interrupt Gil and thus didn't say enough. And as "color" commentators go, he wasn't especially colorful. But he was refreshingly opinionated, especially when it came to assigning blame on failed plays, and he broke down the action with impressive clarity in key situations. Anybody concerned that the goofball persona Zo shows in some other jobs would dominate should be pleasantly surprised.
