No way. There is zero chance that any substantial fine would stand, unless they have direct evidence of tampering - after the press conference I'm sure there's no such evidence (unless it gets fabricated).

Belichick's recap:
1) You can't tell the difference between 1 PSI and 2 PSI you can't tell consistently.
2) The process of "preparing" the ball raises the ball PSI by 1 PSI.
3) The team does NOT add any air to the balls before or after they are prepped.
4) The officials are the ones who set the pressure of the football. The team ASKS for 12.5psi, but official can set it anywhere between 12.5 and 13.5 at his discretion.
5) Through their testing, the Patriots found that taking the ball from the controlled climate of the Refs locker-room to outside and letting the ball reach equilibrium, drops the PSI by 1.5 PSI based on the conditions seen in last Sunday's game.
6) Going from the game conditions to inside and letting the ball return to equilibrium increased the pressure about .5 PSI.

Net loss is still 1PSI.
