Sammy Morris. Not a JAG. And a DEFINITE upgrade over Corey Dillon, which I never thought I'd say. Love watching him play. Thrilled to be wrong.

I'll agree with the caveat that Dillon was injured and past his prime and still set our all time rushing record.

2005 wrecked Dillon. It's amazing he gave us what he did in 2006, which was a lot of TDs.

Sammy is a great utility back. Just goes to show how a role player that learns his trade is a better backup than a more "talented" backup who thinks he should be starting.

Just because you say it, doesn't make it correct or your previous assessment wrong.

Yes....Sammy Morris is running nice and is a good pickup but I wouldn't say he is an upgrade over Dillon, except at staying healthy. I think that SB year took a lot out of Dillon due to the pounding he took (and gave) that year. Even last year, Dillon still pushed the pile when there was no reciever threat to back off the safety. Don't you think Dillon would have had a much better year last year without 8 in the box and letting the opponent have the waterboys cover the WR's?

You have to put all the parts together before you make a call on an individual. I wonder if Dillon is second guessing the decision to retire.

The one and out year in 2005 when all our RBs were hurt he played serious minutes on a high ankle sprain which means the two bones in his leg were separating every time he put his foot down *ouch*.

Hope he can walk allright.

Love Sammy to death, but not in his wildest dreams is he close to young Corey Dillon. I wish youtube hadn't deleted his record 278 yard game (second to Lewis now) awesome!!!
