Didn’t see your join date. It’s from before you were “born” here.

Are the mods deleting posts like crazy or what? The pages for this thread are shrinking at a record pace. Someone put in a claim or trade some conditional posts.
I removed basically the entire Hogan debate because really WTF was the point of that? It took me forever and I had to do it in two parts between work meetings. Whew.
I hope the mods aren't deleting that dating advice I was gonna use.
Y'all were discussing playfully during the lull between new pieces of news so I'm keeping it I guess. Big difference between playful, funny banter and people trolling and escalating against one another for no real reason.

Needless editing, but who cares at this point?

What was the Hogan debate about? I was watching "Sleepless in Seattle" so I could give some dating advice to the earnest young engineer. Just a quick synopsis followed by any winning posters, you know, 'cause that's the important part.

Unfortunately a year after that he didn’t show up for camp, showed up late for practice, “not acting like himsekf” and wore out the welcome of a team that stood by him for 6 years, through many violations and suspensions.

He certainly doesn't have a great track record, but part of the Browns decision could also have been because of where they are as a franchise as well. They just paid huge money to Jarvis Landry to be their #1 WR and they may just want to remove Gordon from the equation because they have a young QB in Mayfield that is at the beginning of his NFL maturation process and don't want him exposed to or have to manage that in any way... Mayfield is obviously a pretty straight shooter, but even if there was a 1% chance that Gordon could negatively influence him might be reason enough

Brady is a legendary QB and Belichick is a legendary coach that has built a locker room full of leaders that have established a culture that is inclusive and supportive of everyone, with team captains that would never let any single player be disruptive and not buy into the program.

They've done it before with some malcontents, and there is something to be said for a change of scenery, removing Gordon from the geographical area that he's familiar with and has developed a bad set of patterns in. Out here, he doesn't really know anyone so it'll be easier to avoid distractions, not getting texts or calls at night to go hang out and he won't know where that local drug dealer on the corner is

I'm not saying its going to happen, but at this point I have to force myself to be a little optimistic/excited about the potential opportunity this could create... He has put up 1600+ yards with Brandon Weeden throwing him the ball when he was drinking and getting high before games.. with a good support system out here and leaders all around him that will be setting the bar as far as expectations and holding him accountable, he could easily go for 1000+ yards. If he doesn't step in line, he's cut and they move on with an early 7th round pick rather than a late 5th rounder, which from a value standpoint is insignificant given the potential upside that was there

I have realistic expectations but I'll be a cheerleader waving my pom poms for Gordon to succeed

crossing my fingers!

Some dude said Hogan regressed from 2016 and that Dez Bryant was younger, more talented, and had better success than Hogan. That same dude also said Slater was a waste of a roster spot. Then everybody ganged up on him and he kept doubling down on his posts pointing out that we averaged 3ppg more with Hogan on the sidelines....

You missed nothing....

Side note: Loving the locker room redesign

To hit all of the topics:

I once dated a girl who had hairy nipples. It was kind of a shocker at the time. I confirmed the plumbing was female, so all was well in the end.

Hogan is an excellent #3 WR. Hopefully, that's his role beginning week 5.

i appreciate the Gordon trade it only because it has distracted me from the Jag game. I can't wait to watch him, but I feel like we'll be waiting for the other shoe to drop on a weekly basis.

I know, messing with the mod.

I guess I will keep my signature for now, though most will not know the background of to whom it refers

my sig (in case you have them turned off):

Sorry, but this is a 7-9 football team.

Just buy that **** from China for like $25, embroidered instead of screen-printed, and feel good for bypassing the NFL's 5x markup
You’ll get cancer as a side effect of the material but at least you’ll save some dough.

I am Gordon’s biggest fan. I want him
to succeed as much as anyone does.
But I can’t be phony and expect a guy who has been a major problem consistently for years to suddenly become someone else.
