The Individual vs. the Team

This discussion reverts to how this team is managed and how the message is controlled, after the KC debacle BB ascended the podium and said "were moving on to Cincinnati"... which caused consternation in the world of pundits. IMO what he was doing was absorbing the focus and responsibility for this loss and protecting his players so they could move on... i.e. controlling the team message.

Often we are befuddled by why the Pats do not sign this guy or that guy, and how we mess up signing a bunch of GOAT's at several positions, all the while we do not know how these guys connect in the locker room or playing field. It is more than just skill defines a player, it is football intelligence and ability to play in this team setting.

I wonder if this is a reason why we did not extend more to Blount...
