According to this he IS willing to play for the Jets, according to his agent. This contradicts previous reports.

According to those who know him he wants to play for a team that can compete for a SB and plays GB at least once. That makes the JETS a tough sell... One reason he wanted to stay in the NFC North was the potential for revenge, not that he's twisted or anything...

I would prefer he go to the JETS. Honest to God. And hope they have to give up a conditional high pick in the process. That would be Tangini's undoing.

Believe me, despite what he says, and you can never trust what he says, he does not want to play in the AFC.

Bingo! (a Troy Brown trademark violation?)
Lord Favre would then be compared directly to Peyton Manning and Tom Brady. Worse yet, he'd have to play on the same field as Brady twice in the season. Worst of all, he'd be playing against a rejuvenated BB defense.

How blatantly did Favre disregard the wishes of his superiors? In his hours-long meeting with McCarthy on Monday night, one of the coach’s direct complaints to the quarterback was that he was tired of having their supposedly confidential conversations leaked in the press. McCarthy told Favre, point-blank, that he didn’t want to turn on his TV or computer after the meeting ended and see quotes from Favre, anonymous or otherwise, discussing the interaction.

Yet on Tuesday morning, an article turned up on espn.com with numerous quotes from Favre. The quarterback said, among other things, the Packers had “planted” inaccurate stories about him and that “they tried to buy me off to stay retired” – a reference to the reported 10-year, $20-million marketing deal the team offered. Favre also provided specifics of his conversation with McCarthy, in direct violation of the coach’s previously stated wishes.

this is so obvious that everytime its favre who has something to say to the media not the packers and therefore all the media people he talks to like king mortenson offer only +ve news about him He really knows how to manipulate the media and they all are falling for it because they can get the story.

You mean like when Favre wasn't saying a thing months back and the Packers were talking about how they had moved on? Or like when the team came out with the "Rogers is our quarterback" crap instead of just saying something like "no comment until Brett is in camp"? That was Favre manipulating the media? It was Favre planting stories about Favre changing his mind a couple of times during the offseason?
