I remember an article (just tried to find it...couldn't) that listed the Patriots as the least likeliest team to win the Superbowl in 2000 or 2001, when we were in salary cap HELL.

I am telling you, we have geniuses at the helm of the ship, people.

Great finds and it was true, he just didn't count on Belichick and Pioli so good at bargain hunting in 2001. No one predicted Brady also. He was right with his other picks Chargers, Cardinals, Bengals and Cowboys took years to recover(the Cardinals is always a good choice no matter when).

Wrong Borges will continue to say that Belchick lucked out with Brady seeing as he chose a tight end in the 6th round, the round before Brady. What he constantly fails to do however is give Belichick credit for making the selection when nobody else in the entire NFL would.

That is the difference between a man with an agenda versus being a responsible sports writer.

It's one thing to be blatently incompetant...not doing self scouting for example. But to be ignorantly incompetant...not at least paying attention to what others are saying (experts) is laughable. Not many, if any would ever admit to being incompetant.

But, after reading such material you could at least do a self-evaluation and try a bit harder....NOPE...intelligence was the modicum of that orginization.

Little wonder Kraft bought the team...he probably added 10 years to his life by easing his Patriots anxiety.

These article make me smile and glad to see how we have evolved. This should be required reading for those people who believe this franchise is on the highway to hell and do not trust BB or SP.
