The Browns may be lousy but I think the Pats are going to be challenged on Sunday

Sampling error here. Makes for a good counter-argument though.

I'm thinking 27-13, but that's me being conservative perhaps.

That Shefter tweet is nonsense, almost the entire Browns team is different now. Other than the team name there's no similarity at all. It's not like this is a matchup difficulty when everyone on the other side has changed.

The Pats have an O-line capable of protecting Brady again. I don't see this being close.

Browns SB is this week...so we will get their best. Will be some storms we have to weather but i think we will be fine. Coming off of a L this team is pretty good at getting back on track

I might be in the minority... but the way I see it is if I was a Cleveland Brown and I heard people talk all week that Tom Brady is back and he is coming to Cleveland to stomp on us in our house... I would probably play about 9,000 times harder that Sunday than I normally would.

I can't imagine that thought isn't running through the Browns locker room right now.

Plus this is Tom's first meaningful game since January.

I could be wrong but I expect this game to be a lot closer and a lot more uncomfortable than people think it's going to be.
So the NFL players on the browns don't care about their careers or the success of the team but if the news is talking about one of their opponents then they ramp it up and can go tow to toe with the best team in the league? Really?

You do realize by your logic every bad team would play great against every good team right?

How many browns players and coaches that played in those games will play Sunday?
Are we really say there is mojo in the uniform?

Let's not forget that game in Cleveland a few years ago.... Pats went in as heavy chalk and got crushed....peyton Hollis had about 150 yards...and they needed a miracle PI call to beat Cleveland at Gillette a few years ago too....
Why do this games matter when none of those coaches or players are still there?

I hate 'expected' blowouts.
Agree 100%...easily the most joyless games.

I can see the Browns keeping it close, but I could also see human nature playing a part where if the Pats get up early they'll throw in the towel. That would be my preference.

I hope we don't see the Pats D that makes rookie QB's look like Joe Montana. I think the throws will be there for this kid since the Pats will be keying on the run game. If he makes the throws this will be a close game. I would still take the Browns and the points. How many times has a team been a 10.5 point HOME underdog??

The major difference in this Browns' team is that they may actually have a competent coach. And as we all know, that makes a world of difference. They'll be very short on talent and experience given how many rookies they've inserted into their lineup, but they're basically all-in on a complete culture change from what I can see so there's a chance for a good coach to get buy-in from the players and get them on the right track. So I expect them to be competitive for the majority of the game like the others, with us pulling away in the 4th quarter but winning by only a score as we do our usual trading of clock for yards at the end.

As to the Browns, I fully expect them to be on the verge of turning it around after a year or two, then their criminal owner will lose patience, chuck it all out and start over again. For the fifth or sixth time in a row.

ANY game in the NFL has the potential to be tough, especially when you're on the road. It would not surprise me at all to see the Browns keep it in doubt 'til the end. It WOULD surprise me to see them beat the Patriots. But, hell, they're 0-4 and are desperate.

I think the Pats get the very best from every team they face. They are the sounding board they can judge their team against. For most it is their playoffs, their super bowl if you will excuse the over used euphemism.

Didn't we lose in Cleveland during the 2010 season? I believe the offense was at full power. We barely survive the last meeting, I think Cleveland has the potential to pull an upset.

Gotta love people citing '10 and '13 games like they have absolutely any effect on this one. Why not bring up '07 and '04 as well? When the Pats won by 17 and 27 points

After being SHUTOUT, I gotta think that we have the stronger motivation. Besides how does the return of someone accused of subtracting some air from a ball incite the opposition's machismo.
