I'm just sitting here thinking about it, and holy **** it has to suck to be a bronco fan today.

I mean losing to the giants twice was rough, but at least we had a shot, at least the pats were IN the game, ya know? you could at least feel a little pride and fall back on the well if we recover this fumble, or catch this one pass we could have won.

but the broncos goose egg, just not even showing up, that had to be like 4 hours of nails on a chalkboard awful.

imagine having spent thousands of dollars to attend the game and having absolutely nothing to be excited about from the first snap until the last play of the third quarter.

just blows my mind that the broncos came up SOOOOOOOO short.

but at least 07 was competitive. there were 1 or 2 plays where if the ball bounces just right, or the ref doesnt lose his whistle the pats could have won.

Yes, that made it worse at the time, the what-ifs. But a lot more was riding on that game than just a Lombardi trophy.

I'd rather lose a competitive Super Bowl with the whole world watching. It means that it was an actual game and we wanted to win just as much as the opposition.

This morning I was listening to the radio on the way to work, Mike & Mike I think, unless it was the local Miami guys. They interviewed one of the experts, Ron Jaworski I think, and he said that Seattle's domination reminded him of how the Giants rattled Tom Brady with pressure in 2007.

Really? 43-8 (and it was less close than that) reminded you of 17-14 game decided in the last minute with the help of perhaps the most improbable play in NFL history?

The worst part was the Broncos gave up after the kick return TD to start the third. Before that beast mode had like 15 yards on 11 carries or something. After that the tackling was, well, half-hearted.

2007 was a heart break sure, but it was lost on one of those once in a lifetime plays. ***** happens
