The Bill megathread (HC at UNC, girlfriend, etc.)

Wrong Rome! There are a few who wish Jordon's peg board was still here.

I stated even before the season started that we were extremely lucky to get Vrabel.

Mayo was a wrong choice.

If Vrabel chose his team last year instead of taking the year off we'd probably still be screwed right now with no Vrabel and no Josh unless Josh wound up as HC.

Part of wanting Bill to get more time was not rushing into what typically becomes a viscous cycle. Thank God Vrabel was available and thank God that his time with Bill here was so special that he went out of his way to return.

I hope he does actually and it happens soon. Beating Bill’s Giants by 50 would be awesome

What an unbelievable ungrateful pos ******* you are. Ian has worked his ass off for decades providing Patriot fans with this forum and your sicko fanboy mental illness has you talking **** to him. You should back it the **** up by leaving this site for good. Take a ****ing hike loser!

In my many years here this is the single ****tiest thing I have seen. Unfortunately signbabybrady is too gutless to back it up by leaving the forum for good, and Ian is far too gracious and decent to permanently ban him. So I'll ask Ross or JMT to take matters into their own hands and permanently ban this gutless little weasel. He has no business posting in this forum anymore. Off with his little ****ing pea brain head.
Dude, while I appreciate that, I'm good with anyone speaking up and saying whatever. I'd rather people be up front and say what's on their mind, which usually leads to positive changes here in one form or another. But no one's getting booted for doing it.

It's been 25+ years. I've heard far worse, and I understand some of his frustration. So it's all good.

Ok, Can I ban him permanently?

I'll give you $100

Please?

You really are a full blown *******.

Think everyone in here needs to take a deep breath.

You're not even close on the unanimous thing. The ratio - I can promise you - is significantly less. And you're battling against human nature, which is to react to what's going on currently. I could list off a ton of guys who are viewed differently now compared to when they were here or even shortly after. Sentiments change with time. You've been here for 18 years, so it's not like you haven't seen it in the past and I'm sure it will hold true down the road.

But again, to say it's a majority is untrue. And the reason why there's silence is because this debate has already happened ad nauseam on here. Most of us are over it and would rather not expend any more energy on it. I mean, the team is in the middle of a seven-game winning streak and are suddenly contenders, so most are focused on the here and now.

In the meantime, you can bet when he's inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame, all of us will certainly recognize it and appreciate it.

Lol why on earth would any NFL team hire this guy now especially if it’s just to pursue that record? Does anyone other than Bill and a few Dolphins fans really care about that record? I don’t.

I can see him doing it given the chance. Just to pursue the record that only he really cares about. I for one don't give crap. The guy really ought to retire, he is not doing his legacy any good at all in my opinion. If he is not careful he will be remembered for all the wrong reasons.

Great article by the way

It appears that I'm lucky I have the troll on ignore.

It sure would be bailing UNC out of their self-created jam. They’d get rid of Belichick and collect a million - instead of having to pay 20 million.

Everyone wins - except the Giants.

I could see it possibly working if Bill left the clown show at home, and that especially includes 3 Rings.

I believe Mayo was the lazy choice by Kraft. The only thing I can think of is Robert felt he was too old to go through the whole interview process and only changed his mind after seeing the results.

"Lombo" lol

I don't think it was lazy. He wanted the opposite of Bill and Mayo knew it for years and sold Kraft.

Kraft got exactly what he wanted. Then a year later he switched right back to the exact mold that BB was in 2000. A hard nosed no nonsense defensive minded coach with previous experience as a HC. And basically gave him full control too.
