I could be wrong, but IMO Kraft wanted to be known as the driving force behind the dynasties. He wasn’t getting enough credit hence he made that horrible documentary. He is an extremely jealous, vindictive man who cares more about himself that the team. He wasn’t like that in the beginning but it started to change during the second dynasty. He wanted to be front and centre. This is his way of doing that, throw Bill to the wolves and he has people like Curran eating it up and running with false narratives! I really wish he would sell the team , I don’t think very highly of Jonathan either. He is daddy’s boy !!!

Lombardi did an interview talking about how a NFL team needs a supreme commander. Lombardi is going to be BB's GM at UNC. Lombardi speaks for Bill. If Bill is asking for complete control at an NFL franchise after the last 5 years at the Pats, I don't think there will be a lot of interest from NFL owners. UNC is completely different. I heard Matty P is going to UNC too.

I think he takes Alt with the top pick and then tries to move back up. Could also see him picking Nix.

And I could see the Pats with BB coaching Alt and Nix having much more success than the present squad. Plus Nix being even better than he is now, when he’s been suggested as ROY candidate now Daniel’s has slipped a bit. We might even be seeing as much giddiness about Nix as we’re seeing about Maye.

So far Maye is not the only QB home run out of the last draft. Daniels and Nix are both performing well too. It may be a few years before we really know which turns out to be the best of them.

I agree with all of that. McCarthy might be good too.

Having said that, I am very excited about Maye and think he is going to be the best of the group.

BB gave his life for Kraft, but Kraft paid BB handsomely. Just look at the pictures of when BB started and when he finished. I believe that BB was burnt out the last few years.

It wasn't Bill that pushed him out the door, it was Kraft. Kraft is the one that did not want to put a franchise tag on Brady, nor did he want to give him a two year contract. Contrary to your belief, Bill never had control over the money, that was all Kraft. Kraft is known for being very cheap and he tried to cheap out on Brady so Brady walked .

Nix is decent but he won't be anywhere near as good as Maye.
Nix' ceiling is a triple decker, Mayes's the Empire State.
Maye has the potential to be the best qb in the NFL in a few years. Neither Daniels nor Nix do.

Your evidence is weak and circumstantial so I asked for evidence of who he suggests he would have taken. Surely if you think his comments on Maye were so down then there must be someone who he was up on? But you can't find it because his comments were similar for everyone else too.

It's just more hating from you. I don't think I saw you wish him luck or anything positive in this thread you just jump straight to your same tired schtick.

No I already aptly demonstrated why he wouldn’t pick Maye and it was a lot more than just his comments. Your choice to dismiss the facts and evidence because you don’t like them but that doesn’t make them any less facts and evidence.
