Did they change the rules? I remember reading about one of the proposed rules changed by a team was to allow players on season ending/ injury, reserve not to be included in the 90 man count. Wouldn’t be too hard hard to start a few players on the reserves list untill after minicamp.

It’s either that or some of these reported “signings” are just mini camp invites which doesn’t count as a rostered players

I hadn't seen anything about players on IR/season ending injury to not count prior to 1st Cut Downs.

There is at least ONE guy who was signed to just a minicamp deal.

I heard about this guy. One of the pre-draft videos on youtube compared him to Christian McCaffrey.

I also tweeted Coach Vrabel about making Efton Chism Mr. Irrelevant. While that didn't pan out the Patriots did sign him after the draft.

These two kids will be fun to root for
I think that Larison has an excellent chance to make the team as RB4 behind Stevenson, Henderson, and Gibson.

How weird would it be if that happened and all four "Sons" were the Pats RBs...

Binky that is

He went to the same school as Cooper Kupp and Bourne. He broke Kupp's school record for receptions this past season. He caught 120 balls for 1300 yards and 13 TD's. He's undersized but may have a bit of Edelmann to his game...

Pats Signed Elijah Ponder - EDGE - Cal Poly -
Pats Signed Jeremiah Webb - WR - South Alabama
Pats signed Jordan Polk - S - Texas State

Doug Kyed has the Pats as having signed 6 more players than the 90 max allowable.

Very likely guys currently on the roster are going to be given walking papers.

My Guesses is that it will be from the follow group.
Jack Westover , Monty Rice, Mark Parry, Jon Jiles, Miles Battle, Titus Leo, DJ James, Marcus Harris

Thanks for that DB. As I went through the thread I could help notive that the Pats had 10 slots and it seemed we were signing a LOT more than that in UDFA's

Seems like a very good group with about 4 guys I think will be good enough to possibly make the roster and locks for the PS. My binky was Lampkins and convert him to FB.

Brock Lampe is a FB that the Pats supposedly signed as a UDFA. Whether it's on a tryout basis or the main roster is yet to be seen.

The Pats added TE/FB Giovanni Ricci way back right after Vrabel was hired, but I've never been impressed with him.

I think that Trippe or Lampe have a shot for the position. Especially since the Pats seem to be focused on quality at the RB slot instead of quantity. It wouldn't surprise me to see an FB and a 3rd TE carried with that 3rd TE able to do both..

Lanison and Chism. I am rooting both big time to make the final 53.
Love to see folks like Rhamondre, Gibson, Polk and Baker see some real competition for a change.

Lanison may be the most talented UDFA the Patriots have ever drafted!!!!
Chism is a great underdog story. Not as sure about him making the team but pulling hard for him to make it over Baker

Is the max you can have at the end of the day only 90 players? What if you know you plan to get rid of some of the current roster post June 1st. Can you not have like more then 90 signed before the start of camp?

Genuine question.
90 at a time.

On Efton Chism just when Polk and Baker thought the coast was clear. Issac TeSlaa was taken in the Third manman had E Chism as one of those prospects who could surprise.

Chism is probably better than both Polk and Baker: not a very high bar those two combined.

Develin was 6'3 255. And, he often said it was hard for him being that tall playing FB. Most FB's are desired to be between 6'0 and 6'2.
True. I like the size as he has versatility as an end of the line blocker and can pick up Edge defenders.

The Cal Poly EDGE we signed, Elijah Ponder, has the athleticism you'd want from an edge rusher you draft in the top. He does lack size though and scouting reports suggest he's a designated pass rusher only at the next level. That athleticism gives him a foot up though

I just told you that Chism III was a top 5 WR for the Pats and you said Chism was only a UDFA and you liked Boutte. 10 min later you like Chism III?
