Just wanted to post a thread to thank all of you for another incredible ride. It didn't end the way everyone hoped, but when you really look at it, it's a miracle they were in this position to begin with. But I can't express how much fun this season still was and how much I'm grateful to all of you who were a part of it...it was definitely crazy.
I know I pushed a lot of you to try and keep the faith and in the big picture, it's still hard not to appreciate the fact that this team even ended up in this position. There are still 30 other teams who would have killed to be in this position, and playing in February is still a remarkable achievement. They were lucky to be there and while I could do without the stress that we all went through, it was still a gutsy performance by an offense that again had to try and pull off a tough win while doing it shorthanded.
Also, I want to apologize for the glitches the last few days. The server changeover got put on hold after a couple of issues came up that kept us down into Saturday morning, before I pulled the plug and said we'd have to wait. It would have kept us down longer (you probably noticed we were down late Friday night into Saturday morning at 8am) than I wanted and I wasn't willing to do it with the game coming up. But we're ready to make the move this week, so that will be the plan and I'll obviously let you guys know when we do.
In the meantime, best wishes to all of you and your families. There are some of you who I know are going through some significant things and time is a currency that is priceless and it's something that I'll never take lightly. It means a lot for you to include me and this crazy hobby of mine in your lives. You're all in my thoughts, and I also want to say thank you to everyone who has taken the time to reach out and send such kind words over the years. I really appreciate it.
This one stings and it obviously sucks to get so close and come up short. But we've been through worse, and we'll get through it together.
2017 is in the books, and it's time to turn the page.
We're on to 2018.
