Terrell Owens Making Social Media Pitch For Patriots To Sign Him

Well, that should make all the difference. If he's making an appeal via MyFace, BB is sure to notice.

A totally stable and righteous dude for sure....yeah...

The thing about him was in the 2004 SB (2005) he was the Eagles and he played with a broken leg. he never should have been on the field but if any of the other Eagles had his fight that day the Patriots would have lost. I think he is nuts but I would not put it past him to have three outstanding games in him even at 42.

Would love to see us field a offense in the playoffs of Moss Owens Edelman Admendola Gronk.

Even if he is physically able to play with some magical undetected substance...he would still need to learn the offense. Not enough time IMO.

I guess I was the only one shocked to see 42 years of age? I knew he was old, but I wasn't thinking he was that damn old. Damn.

What the heck. Sign him, and just keep sending him on post routes down the field. Oh, he might be slowed down some, but Brady doesn't have that same zip on the long ball these days.

It is what it is, but if he's running deep, and the other side has to keep covering him, that leaves LaFell to run down the other side, and Gronk up the middle, and Edelman or Amendola over the middle. So who gets covered by whom? Interesting problem, and all TO has to do is catch one ball deep to show he can still do it, and the other side's defense HAS to start respecting that.

It will never happen, of course, but it's an interesting problem to speculate on and game.

Must suck to still have so much love for the game but your body is past its expiration date.

Well, considering EVERYONE has to be covered, why not just use a young guy a few steps quicker who has a chance of getting open?

And isn't 42.

I get what you're saying, but you didn't think that one through too well. You say sign TO because he's a body, a body without a chance. Matthew Slater would be a better option.

If you are only going to send him deep, why not bring in some young guy, instead of a 42 year old guy. If any guy runs deep a defender has to keep covering him, and I'm pretty sure you can find some FA right now that's faster than a 42 year old WR who hasn't played in 5 or so years

A guy that's 42 has definitely lost a bunch of steps. If you where to bring in an old guy it would seem like the best way to use him is to use his skills in crisp route running and techniques that he has learned over the years. Guys that can use that, and really fight for the ball, seems to be the ones who can continue to play the longest. As a 4th WR that might make him open every now and then. Having him constantly run deeps seems like a waste of a roster spot.

Just turned 40 this year. You're making me feel insanely old.

(Shakes fist)

If he can actually catch the ball why not.

Lets get Jerry Rice, Isaac Bruce, and Allen Iverson too. I bet Iverson's quickness will be a killer!
