I don't understand some fans at all. The Sox are in first place and they look really good. In baseball, it is normal to carry a player who is not hitting because of other abilities, in this case catching. Sometimes, its the shortstop position, due to a special fielder and no one else that can duplicate it (see catching).
But here is the clincher, what have you done for me lately. Doesn't matter that the Sox are fine with Tek catching, nor that he was brilliant in bringing two championships to Boston. No, every Boston team must have an all-pro at every position because if there is any weakness then the fantasy fan has to lam bast that player.

Jeezus man, I called out Tek and Papi at the outset of the season and even I am pleasantly suprised by Tek and somewhat ok with Papi lately. Dice-K is now on my sh*tlist. Tek has 10 dingers so far and had a couple of hits tonight. I'm ok with that. Not alot of great catchers in the game right now and he's better than most.
