Tebow is a green bean!!!

I'm not scanning the entire thread so if this has been posted sorry but it's still funny.

"We don’t need (Tim) Tebow,” Cromartie wrote on Twitter. “We sell out every home game let him go to Jacksonville Tampa or Miami. Our wildcat offense can b ran by J. Kerley or Joe McKnight we straight.”

From @TerrellThomas24

RT @giantswfan: Memo to #Tebow: Do yourself a favor - demand a trade and hold out. You don't want to be part of Gang Green's mess- lol

You all are missing a central reason for this trade: Tim Tebow really does have pretty feet.

hmmm maybe Tebow is being brought in to purify the green scum...... GOOD LUCK with that .....:wha:

Rex Ryan is already talking about taking the team to the Vatican after the Superbowl

:rocker::rocker:

Or more likely this: Jimmy Sexton is the agent for Rex Ryan, Tony Sparano and...Tim Tebow. So the talk of his handlers seeing a better fit splash wise in NY than in Jacksonville might have some legs.

And he's a buddy of Tannenbaum

NOW TEBOW DOESNT HAVE TO GO TO AFRICA TO ADOPT KIDS HE CAN JUST PICK A KID OUT OF CROMARTIES LOCKER from Twitter

This gem from GangGreen shows how learned Jets fans are about football (in response to a post about Tebow's 2013-2014 salary):

"I believe thats if he is the starter, which he will not be."

There you have it. Tebow makes less if he isn't starting. Get BB on the phone; I know how he can save a TON of cap room.

I've been anticipating reading this thread since I caught the news via 'legacy' media... My earlier thought: in all the (hopefully considerable) span of time from the fateful year of 1985 to the day I close my eyes for the last time, I can safely say that no Jets roster will ever present me the entertainment potential of the 2012 edition!

Somewhere, Belichick is kickin' back with that smurk on his face

And BB continues to play chess as the rest of the league plays checkers. Feign interest in Tebow in the draft; Watch someone overdraft him. Don't quash a rumor by Clayton (or perhaps have intermediaries feed it) that the Pats could be interested in Tebow; Watch the Jets overpay for him and set up a media circus in NY the likes we may have never seen before.

Well Jesus washed the Apostles feet....... so Rexy washing tebowtoes seems to work...

Tebow's contract was by far the main reason I was against the Pats trading for him. Sure, perhaps it could be restructured, but considering what he is due (over $6 million in 2013 and $7 million in 2014) that is not something that is going to be easily done. Then if he doesn't care for the situation that he is in he could stand fast and not agree to a restructure and force the issue. At that point the new team (Pats in the earlier discussion; Jets now) would be forced to either pay that amount next year (along with the cap hit) - or cut him.

It's not unlike Manning's recent situation with the Colts (where he was better off not restructuring), as the QB can then become a free agent in that scenario and sign for whatever team is the best fit - but in this case the Jets could conceivably have traded a 4th and 6th round pick away for one year of Tebow's services as backup to Sanchez.

Wasn't there a rule in the new CBA about "re-structuring" rookie contracts?

Stupidest move by our front office in years. I'm speechless at this bulls**t.

We take on a horrible contract, give up a 4th round pick in a deep draft, receive the whole Tebow media circus for the Tebow goal-line package which will just ruin Sanchez's stats, and we were the #1 red zone offense in the NFL last year anyway....

absolutely ******ed

In theory, Tebow is the perfect QB for a ground-and-pound offense and for a QB his salary isn't that bad, certainly not in 2012 at least.

The problem is the guaranteed money owed to Sanchez + Greg McElroy + Drew Stanton + little cap room + Tim Tebow = WTF!??!?

Thinking about it, the only thing missing from the Jets' disaster last year was a priest giving their playoff hopes their last rites. Adding Tebow will fix that problem.
