Put the ball in the hands of your most talented players the majority of the time and you end up with this:

oBrady: 23/33 69.69% completions | 432 passing yards | 13.1 average | 4 touchdowns | 151.8 QB rating
oRidley: 26 carries | 115 rushing yards | 2 touchdowns
oGronkowski: 9 receptions | 143 receiving yards | 15.9 average | 1 touchdown
oDobson: 5 receptions | 130 receiving yards | 26.0 average | 2 touchdowns
oAmendola: 4 receptions | 122 receiving yards | 30.5 average | 1 touchdown

Great offensive showing today! I hope they build on this during the bye week and continue to improve, the combo of Gronkowski and Dobson could be something very special.

I will say I have criticized McDaniels this season; he called a great second half today especially the play action call that led to the Dobson 81 yard score. I was also very happy with their decision not to bench Ridley who I consider to be a top 10 NFL back because he fumbled.

why did people do drive-by one-star votes on a thread in which the op cites facts and recognizes a job well done by a coach he's disapproved of

We need to make a Brady6 Superthread with all of your musings.

the Ridley part seems like a subtle dig. In past games when he was benched it was deservedly so, fumbling the ball without contact for 6 the other way is much different than today's fumble.

Because Brady6 dares to have an opinion.

BB exonerated Ridley, indicating that it was a great defensive play...

um yeah, did you even read my post?
Ridley fumbles and it's his fault = Benched (Bills game)
Ridley fumbles from defensive play = Not benched (Steelers game)

It's quite simple, and apparent that the benching worked, this was the first fumble he lost since the Bills game.

If it is so obvious why did it take until week 9 of the season for the team to begin doing it? Gronkowski and Amendola have been injured so I understand that, and Dobson is a rookie so maybe they were intentionally working him in slow. The enigma is Ridley who played 68% of the snaps yesterday and ran for 115 yards and 2 touchdowns before giving way to Blount who came in and picked up his garbage time stats.

The other games this season this what Ridley has played:

• Week 1- 15|94|15.96%
• Week 2- 37|65|56.92%
• Week 3- 26|73|35.62%
• Week 4- 25|66|37.88%
• Week 5- 0|63|0.00%
• Week 6- 38|88|43.18%
• Week 7- 28|79|35.44%
• Week 8- 20|65|30.77%
• Total- 189|593|31.87%

The recognition I offered to McDaniels was about being fair and unbiased; if I am going to criticize him for doing something poorly I am also going to commend him for doing something well.

You do not have to read the post or participate in the discussion if you do not find it to be stimulating, that said just because you don’t see value in something doesn’t mean you have to speak poorly of it or criticize it, not everyone is going to find value in the same things, you may never open a thread like this one which is fine, just like I would never go into a thread and post a comment that disparages the OP so clearly we have different priorities and take pleasure in different things, either way neither of us should diminish the others approach.
