I've been looking at the S233 by Quick-Shade. Over the weekend I had a chance to see a display model and it looks very sturdy.

Product Details

I'm also looking at the EZ-Up Express II which also looks pretty good but I've only seen it on the web.

International E-Z UP - Express II

If anyone has any product feed-back or experience with either of these I would appreciate it.

Never used either product (although the EZ-Up is close to what we have), but I will tell you that the Quick Shade will be much better in winter. I will tell you that we have had to make makeshift walls on our canope out of tarps. If you get a rain or snow fall that is falling sideways because of the wind, you will be thanking yourself for walls on your canope.

Thanks for the input. I probably will go with the Quik Shade.

I have a 10X10 Quik Shade that like Rob we made sides to use for the less than stellar weather games we even added clear plastic for windows. I looked at your link and thought the price was extremely high. The Quik Shade that I have for tailgating is about 3 years old and was purchased at Wal-Mart during the off-season on clearance for $79.00 from $129.00 and will be set-up again this year in P11.

Yeah, the MSRP is high but most places have them at $249.00. Also those sides on the model I'm looking at can be raised to add additional cover. The one I found is priced at $185, so I'm probably going to go get it today.

BTW the site promotes it as a shade canopy but I'm hoping it's waterproof as well. Have you used it in the rain?

Thanks

I don't want to be rude, but your screen name is very unfortunate.

lol, or col is probably more appropriate. I chose that going into the 07 season and sure enough they made it there. I almost changed it to PatsSB43but decided not to because I didn't want to jynx them(which I was convinced I did for 42). Should have gone with GiantsSB42 I guess

There was a Pats/Jets game in Nov 2006 in which it downpoured and for the most part we stayed dry under the canopy, a few drops ran along the poles and caused some dripping in spots. Since that time I have bought cans of waterproof spray for boots, fabrics, etc..(in the shoe and camping sections of Wal-Mart) and at the beginning of each season the canopy is set-up in the yard and I spray the top inside and out. We haven't had any issues since that time, but we also haven't had the rainfall of the magnitude either.

Quik-Shade is my bet, but unless you get the wind right neither will do you much good. Thanks.
