Why would Devin retire? He’s going to be 32 this year. Most safeties last until 35-36. Ed reed played longer. Also Travis kelce is gronks age get he isn’t retiring. Then again Kelce hasn’t had the same injuries.

I think Jason has been in the league a year longer but maybe his first success has him staying. Maybe he moves to FS.

On McCourty... Honestly while I'd miss his presence it's hard to justify his contract going into next year. He's just not the player he use to be.

Rather than a potentially messy parting, retirement may not be a bad idea. I wouldn't pay him more than 7m for the player he is now. I don't know how you bridge that gap.

I’ve noticed the difference between how Tom answers retirement questions and how gronk answers them. Tom said there’s zero chance that this is his last game while gronk says “that’s the last thing I’m thinking about right now.” Good chance he walks away

I considered Gronk gone midway though the year so it will be the least surprising news..but will suck a lot

That’s why it’s a miracle that Brady is as healthy as he is at 41. Favre’s arm apparently was numb and purple his last game. He wasn’t the same after taking a beating from the saints defense. Peyton apparently lost feeling in 2 of the fingers of his throwing arm at 39. He badly lost arm strength. We’re so blessed to have Brady as he is now still throwing darts.

I'd be thrilled for Devin to go out on top. He is still a good player and great leader but it would be a wonderful story for him to win it all with his brother and retire!
