- key on Spiller catching passes - then outside runs. Up the middle should be hard against our tandem of VW and TK.

Offense:
- take the obvious advantage and attack weakend secondary.
Turn on run game when got significant lead.

I think this game has the potential to be closer than most think. I hope I'm wrong, but I've been to that stadium on opening day (the 2003 game from hell), so my perspective is jaded.

Pettine will soon learn that his new secondary is certainly not what he had at his disposal with the Jets, when they start getting torched his only option will be to try put some pressure on Brady.

Unless they get pressure with just Dareus/Williams/Carrington of course, in which case New England will have to start running the ball frequently.

Those have been the Pats' strengths on each side of the ball over the past few years, so they should do just fine. More specifically, I hope they spread the Bills out with 3-4 WRs to get as many of the end of the roster DBs on the field as possible. On defense, they'll have to be disciplined to not give Spiller cutback lanes, and I hope they get a little creative early so Manuel can't keep them in the game just by avoiding mistakes. With the majority of the defense being returners and returning starters, they should be able to pull out some exotic things earlier in the season than we're used to.

With Byrd and Gilmore out their secondary will need help in coverage; blitz, and that leaves their replacements alone with less help.

On the other hand if you don't blitz, now you're giving Brady extra time to find a receiver, plant his feet, and clear passing lanes.

It may make sense to hope that they can get enough pressure from Mario Williams outside - and more importantly for them, from Kyle Williams and Marcell Dareus in the middle versus Wendell and Connolly.

I am guessing that their initial plan will be to drop an extra DB back there, but that's just my guess. I think they may dare us to run the ball just based on some problems that we've had in the past vs personnel who can handle that like BAL and the NYJ.

Whether or not BUF can stop the run with an extra DB or not remains to be seen, but that'd be my guess as to how they hope to combat Brady and the passing attack. Of course as we know, it'll be a chess match and things will change throughout the game.

I definitely agree that it's a "choose your poison" scenario, especially when we had success running the ball vs them last season.

the bills are starting a rookie QB I don't want to see the same old set back and hope the QB makes a bad throw defense not with a rookie and a team with only one good WR. I want BB to have the Defensive game plan of he's career Zone blitz from CB's Safeties MLB's defensive end stunts up the middle,

I know its only week one but this team needs the defense to set the tone for the rest of the season

I expect the pats to get off to a slow start. lot of unknowns with the buffalo team. Really hoping the D steps up and helps the offense out. Dont want the 3rd and long cringing feeling on defense anymore. I would gladly take a 17-10 type win over a shootout.

Offensive Plan

• Run the ball 35-40 times with Ridley and Blount
• Utilize Shane Vereen as a flex player and move him all around the field
• Target Amendola 12-15 times

Defensive Plan

• Move C. Jones around, use him at RE, LE and at DT to isolate 1on1 matchups
• Use Hightower, Spikes and Collins in blitz opportunities
• Spend a lot of time in the base defense, and use McCourty and Collins in 1on1 coverage to allow additional players to get after the QB

We deserved everything we got that day after cutting Milloy.

Belichick obviously puts a higher value on locker room presence than fans who evaluate players via fantasy stats do. We've seen some solid players shown the door because they were considered disruptive. It's probably also why they took a look at Teebow instead of giving Mallett more snaps to audition for a possible trade in the post season.

Either way I don't see where 'deserve' came into the equation.
