People born today or 5 years ago will never know. Never see Brady live week in and week out. I will be 70 looking back saying "wow"

Enjoy every single snap Brady has and every play good or bad because it won't last..but the memories will

and think...YOU have been hiding out here the last 17 years!....

We all know how long it is but the perspective for me is my son was 5 when they won it in 2004, for a long time I felt bad because he could only watch the highlights as he was too young to be a fan at the time and they had that drought. Now he's hoping to see his third SB win "live" at 18 years old. He's about to graduate from HS and this has been going on his entire life (the BB resignation from the NYJ was the day he was born).

The Sullivans, Kiam, Rod Rust... it almost seems like a bad dream. A nightmare of incompetence occasionally interspersed with fleeting moments of joy that were just enough to get our hopes up before the inevitable soul crushing that is the natural result of having incompetent ownership.

GOD BLESS ROBERT KRAFT!

I think you meant Bill Belichick.

I think you meant Bill Belichick.

I know exactly who I meant.
Without an owner truly committed to winning Belichick is never here (the price was deemed high at the time) and it's a million to one shot Brady is drafted never mind his getting a chance.

Same story here...as my daughter pointed out to me today, she was born in the tiny window between Pats hiring Belichick and drafting Brady. She does recognize how fortunate she's been to grow up watching this team, because whenever she tries to watch a random regular-season game between two average teams she's appalled at the difference!

A win places a football dynasty as book ends on this era, beginning and semi-near end, or is 3 Superbowls in 4 years no longer considered a Dynasty?

Amen, man!
My 5 year old nephew already genuinely likes football, and Brady and Belichick are going to be NFL-films stuff to him when he's old enough to really understand the game he's watching

My daughters were born in 2007 and 2010. They're even too young to appreciate it, though my oldest is starting to come around on how cool it is. But she does somewhat expect it. She told me on Monday, "well, the Pats are going to the Super Bowl, which is good."

I lost my mind when we went after the 1996 season...different times.

The thing is, all future dynasties will be compared to this one, and even if a team manages four out of five, there will be hesitancy to call it the best dynasty. How about that?

Yep and in 01,03, and 04 they beat the NFC West, NFC South, & NFC east teams. In 14 and 16 they beat the NFC West & NFC South teams. If they beat Philly....woah. Crazy to think about.

I'm 57 and I do that all the time now.

To compare, just go back before Bledsoe... when the three previous QB's were...

Hugh Millen
Tommy Hodson
Marc Wilson

I agree...I was trying to point this out years ago, even pre-2014, that what we were witnessing, are things we'll never see in our lifetimes (if ever) again.

The question is, is how many haters will be mental institutions over it?

If only we could have cloned John Facenda and his voice prior to 1983, so we could him doing the NFL Films voice overs on thee highlight films.

If it's not all of them then not enough

Preach it!

Amen!

Wish my Dad had lived to see BB and Brady. I think back to all the creative combinations of cuss words my dad taught me when we would watch the Patriots game together through the 70's and 80's. Ah those were the days! Obviously just the away games as the home games were always blacked out!

Great time to be a football fan...

Unfortunately like the many greats, you don't know what you got till it's gone....

The Golden Age

Every time the Pats win a super bowl I buy one of those vertical banners that have the year, date, score etc and hang it in my garbage shrine. Previously I bought the panoramic super bowl photos but those take up a ton of space so I had to switch to the banners.

Today I had to go out there and redrill all the holes and make more space.

If they win more than six I’m fcked, I don’t have any more wall space. I don’t have a square inch to spare.

As I was drilling I started laughed maniacally thinking of how fortunate I am to be a fan of this team. I’m pretty sure the neighbors probably called the police upon hearing drilling and laughter.
