He wouldn't have fit the Pats' team-first/keep your yap shut culture. I'm willing to bet that was a big factor in his decision not to entertain an offer from New England.

He's a douche but, you gotta respect his game. Guy is a big time gamer. What he did to Talib back in 2013 was badass. Guy has been amazing late in his career. Can only hope Edelman can be as productive this long.

Thing is, they both have an attitude, but Smith has the play to back up the attitude. Sanders does a 15 second dance to celebrate a 6 yard catch for a first down, then proceeds to drop the next target.

Harrison had a big time attitude and he was awesome here becoming an all-time Pat. I feel like Smith would have been similar to Harrison but on offense.

Yeah, the attitude isn't always bad. It can make a guy a leader and a tone setter. Spikes and Talib both did that to a degree. IMO Sanders is not that kind of guy. Smith is.
