Now how many went to the Pats' parades? 1.2 mil.? 1.5 mil.?

250,000 is about 2/3 of Pittsburgh's population. 1.5 mil is almost 3 times Boston's population.

yeah but there are ALOT more than 500K in metro boston. everett, lynn, revere, chelsea, etc would all be a part of the city in alot of other places, but the technical boston area is so small that the actual population of boston is not a good indication of the number of people that live here.

having said that, 250K is WEAK. i love that pic of government center during the 1st pats parade. now THAT was a huge crowd....and it was like that down boylston st and up tremont st during the coldest day of the year. anyone else remember how cold it was? and then the jumbotron went out while the players were on stage. that sucked.

That's why Steeler fans "travel" well . . . half of them have moved to other cities.

Detroit is as "working class" as Pittsburgh, and we still had well over a million for all 3 Red Wings' parades, and the Pistons' parade as well.
