Start Joe Milton in Week 18

Milton may want an opportunity to start in NE. Otherwise, will look elsewhere
As well he should. I think Maye has shown enough to be the presumptive #1 guy - but those two are so similar, they should make each other better in the next few years as they learn together.

Don't be surprised if they check offers for him now and if someone bites, let him go before the draft

He played well. Like him as a backup. He was playing against a bunch of guys that will be bagging groceries next week.
I think some of them were bagging groceries this week

Is there a chance for Milton to start in NE next year?

Not so long as Maye's healthy. I think Maye did enough over a longer period of time to justify keeping the #1 spot.

Not tilting - just responding to your original comment. You're telling me not young and unpromising Huard was QB2 and in the 2nd game, some other guy relieved Bledsoe, and that doesn't compute. There isn't a soul who would've in retrospect not traded a #1 overall pick for that guy who relieved Bledsoe.
thats my point. back ups arent worth it

Well...

Maye went 1-9 in the games he completed this season.
Jacoby Brissett went 2-4
Joe Milton won every game he played...

You tell me who should start next year?

Good point

Never expected for him to go as late as he did to the Pats last year. However, he’s a keeper for now unless they can get a 2nd or 3rd. Having a backup with that kind of upside is a good problem to have.

Lets get the rookie some real game experience...

no ulterior motives here, no sireee bob kraft...

just some good old fashioned live action game experience for our future back up of the future...
You suck

Backups or not Milton looked way better than projected by most everybody. I was pretty much told this kid is only capable of throwing bombs. He is much more than that.

It was one game against backups. Let’s get to where he is a reliable backup before we go crazy.

He may be fighting for the starting job in training camp. Never know what can happen.

We have Milton for Three more years tell Mahomes watch out.

Edit: asking about Milton starting was dumb

If Milton is fighting for the starting role then something has gone very wrong at the QB position. Milton is a project and nothing more right now,
