Stanley Cup - Boston Bruins vs Vancouver Canucks

owned! how awesome was that?

Watching Timmy go at Burrows was fahkin AWESOME

biggest game of the season in friday night, have to win it. CLINCH IN BOSTON!!

The key will be whether or not Boston can apply this same pressure in game 5 and come back to the Garden 3-2 up with a chance to close out the series.

The Canucks have shown they aren't a fan of pressure or physical play in the last 2 games. If the Bruins bring this same intensity and physical application game 5 is going to be incredible viewing.

i think it's gonna be like the habs series, take em 2 games to just get on fire and they'll deliver

gotta respect the bruins, even though i hate em, they're an awesome team

tonight's game was definitely the biggest unless there is a game 7. Game 5 is important..but i wouldn't be surprised if the B's lose. I think they will..then win games 6&7.

If they lost tonight it was over..down 3-1 going back to vancouver

No ... they are not losing ... the Canucks need to man up and they are unwilling so far. man up to them is cheap shots but it will take more than that to beat the Bruins again.

That's noticeable on the ice isn't it. Vancouver seems like they're more of a finesse team built on speed and ticky tacky physicality whereas the Bruins are built on defense, ruling the boards and planting opposition when they get the chance.

I've enjoyed the physical approach the Bruins have taken to the Canucks. It's unsettled the Canucks whilst Tim Thomas' general level of play has to be seeding doubt in their minds especially on the power play. They're 1 for 22 or something of the like.

They are rushing everything when they are over the blue line ... in the first game they had time to make that extra pass and now they don't. Also the Bruins are sweeping the rebounds out before the Canucks can get the rebounds. A tremendous defensive effort and of course the best offense is a great defense ... best defense is a great offense not hurting either is it.

The Bruins were definitely closing down the Canucks faster in games 3 & 4 opposed to 1 & 2. Let's see if that intensity and application can find itself another mammoth effort in a couple of days time.

That forum is full of absolute clowns.

Just like their team the forum is full of crying morons. Maybe our guys wouldnt have resorted to sneaky hits and taunting if your classless douches hadnt done it for the first 2 games.

Im sitting here laughing at the homer opinions.

Go Boston - some seriously good play again last night.

I love Brad Marchand as much as the Canucks hate him.

The only question I have about your post is....when did the Bruins resort to sneaky hits? They simply dished out big (and for the mos part clean) hits and often.

boston doesn't do sneaky hits, they always are physical and in chara's case at times borderline criminal

but it ain't sneaky

when you go against boston you know you're going to get hit, they don't disguise it at all.

i hate em but they're damn good and not sneaky

Finally seen 'The Hit' from Game 3, and that was appalling!

The fact that the announcer said it was partially Horton's fault for not looking! When would any player expect that!

If they can take game 5......

4-0....nice. Something I like about that number 4...

Man, it's kinda amazing just how much Canada is rooting for the B's. Vancouver has been exposed for who they really are. You go to the comments of articles posted on cbc.ca ..tsn.ca etc...I am thinking if you are Canadian, you are definitely in the minority if you are cheering for the Canucks. Lots of love for the Bruins.

It would be nice to see the cup back in Canada but not with this team. Canada appreciates the blue collar work ethic, nose to the grindstone, teams, which is pretty much what this year's version of the B's is all about. I think the hurdle was leaped when they stopped fearing them, in practice, not in lip service.

The B's have to survive the first 10 minutes of Fridays game. And if Vancouver boos the US national anthem I am throwing my plaid wearing, funny accent, maple syrup eatin' polar bear and his moose friend through the TV. I don't care what the mounties will say. Did you hear the loud cheers our anthem received. Very classy Boston.

Through all of this I am getting the impression that Rome is not that bad of a guy, I just am getting a hunch he feels like crap for putting Horton out. They used to be teammates. Of all the a-holes on that team I certainly don't consider him to be one of them. He made a conscious effort to tuck his elbow when he hit him. Those shoulder pads are absolute garbage. Someone is gonna get killed out there if they don't change equipment.

Get well Nathan and keep rolling B's!

Couldnt agree more, thats how Chicago has beat them and how they almost beat them this year, if they werent sleepwalking for the first 3 games and have been down 3-0 Vancouver wouldnt even be here.
The Horton hit galvanized the team, feels like the 04 Sox after they won the two extra inning games on Papi's hits, you knew the Sox were winning, I have the same feeling now.

It also feels similar to the 2001 Pats vs the Rams where the Pats were more physical and were able to intimidate them.

This series is going to 7. I see Vancouver winning tomorrow night but a BS goal...then Boston winning 6&7

Nope ... Bruins win 3-2 tomorrow then win at home to close it out 5-2.
