the only reason he did not cut him was he did not want to answer questions about him yet the story still got out

"No comment" is news.

I can't even totally blame the media for that foolishness. They need a way to say "We did our job and tried to find something out, but we failed."

What's bad is when a question is asked and ducked six times straight. When that happened at the Nixon White House, I'd say the reporters were right to keep badgering the politicians. But at a football press conference, it seems a lot sillier.
