1.) Peyton's contract will prevent the Colts from ever winning a Super Bowl.
2.) Former Pats never have success away from the Pats. See Adam, Dexter Reid and Dan Klecko.
3.) Rain would favor the Bears.
4.) Joe Addai was a reach by the Colts.
5.) The Colts will implode in 2006.

You were right, Miguel. You were right.

Well lets be reasonable here. Reid didn't have any success, he was just lucky to be added as a scrap to a good team.

3.) Rain would favor the Bears.

The rain was a problem for the Colts I think, but the Bears couldn't handle it either.

2) Vinatraitor is the only significant player there and he's just a kicker. No-one EVER said ex patriots never have success (Greg Spires) but they very rarely do.

3) The rain did favor the Bears but they suck enough that the rain wasn't even close enough to close the gap.

Was Joe Addai really that great? Did you see the size of the holes he had to run into? Any of us on the boards could of run for 6 YPC the way that O-Line was playing tonight. He had a nice season, but that O-Line deserves A LOT of the credit.

The O-Line also holds all the time but is never flagged.

What did Klecko do other than two TD's when linning up at FB?

2.) Former Pats never have success away from the Pats. See Adam, Dexter Reid and Dan Klecko.

Adam never won a game for them all year long. He had a good year I'm not taking anything away from him but what game wouldn't they have won without him? And I don't recall anybody saying he wouldn't still be a good kicker when he left. SG is earning 1/5th his salary and if you factor in kickoffs their seasons were just about a wash.

The other two are fringe players. If the Pats had won the SB that would be the equivalent of Aqua posting that Saban pushed the Pats over the top by releasing Heath Evens.

1 & 3 ................. I'm guilty.

4 & 5 I never bought into either.

Why post this right now? Are you trying to piss people off?

Here's some facts: They're just another ONE and DONE SB winner. NaPolian is still a prick. Peyton and Dungy are lucky to even be there. We had it in our hands.

He beat the Broncos on a 30 yard game winner with no wind in Mile High Stadium where the ball floats 10 yards longer. HEROICS!

I thought Rhodes was nothing more than a second teir, third-down back. He obviously proved otherwise tonight, and I thought he deserved the MVP.

1.) Peyton's contract will prevent the Colts from ever winning a Super Bowl. What did Peyton's contract have to do with losing to the Steelers last year? Every serious football fan knew his contract had nothing to do with it.
2.) Former Pats never have success away from the Pats. See Adam, Dexter Reid and Dan Klecko. We knew that last year when Ty Law had 10 picks and made the pro bowl.
3.) Rain would favor the Bears. It did. Without rain they would have lost 49-17
4.) Joe Addai was a reach by the Colts. Addai ran for over 1000 yards. What did tonight have to do with it?
5.) The Colts will implode in 2006. I think that was answered before tonight

Myth: any serious football fans believed myths 1,2,4,5 before tonights game.

The only game I remember Benedictieri winning for the Dolts was vs either KC or Balti,I forget now but he put up the only points on the board. Wasn't it both games? But no,technically he hasn't had a game winner in the sense we remember him doing.
I loved his wide left tonight

New truths to be built up going forward:

1.) Peyton's contract will prevent the Colts from winning another Super Bowl.
2.) Former Pats never have success away from the Pats. See Hank Poteat, Ken Walter, Vinny Testaverde.
3.) Rain will favor the less incompetent team.
4.) Dominic Rhodes is Indy's best back.
5.) The Colts will implode in 2007.

IMO Peyton was definitely the MVP. He deserved it and had a magnificent season. He was an excellent game manager, something he learned how to do as he matured. He had one remarkable half of playoff football, vs. the Pats, and with the way his defense played it was enough to win the SB. That playoff game vs. the Pats is now forever the stuff of legend, and may go down as one of the top 5 games ever played.

Two words lend legitimacy to your post: Rex Grossman.

I thought exactlly...He played an MVP type of a game..

So, does anyone want Klecko and Reid back?

Me neither.
