I've never understood this. Seems to me it stems from Chris Berman's mantra on ESPN and suddenly people followed along. Powder blue, just like Tampa Bay's old creamsicle orange, is NOT a football color!

And I still think the silver Pats uni is great. Silver and navy blue look ultra slick together. Why don't they use silver instead of white on the road?

i love the powder blues, but my favorite uni was always the dan fouts royal blues

They have not wore the silvers since 07 vs Buffalo, they wore the white uniforms at home twice and we know the result in that...Anytime the Pats tweak the current uniforms, something bad happens


02- Blue on Blue for 2 games- both losses

08 - White uniforms for 2 games, KC- Brady is lost for the season, and Miami got clubbed by the wildcat...

Not a fan of the silvers, should just stick to 2 games with throwbacks...

...or better yet, just one game, if that. This alternate uniform crap is totally out of hand.

Find something that works, and stick with it. That's why I like the Jets (although I hate to admit it) the Colts, Bears, Packers and new/old 49ers and Browns uniforms. They just work.

I'm not saying that the Pats should go retro. The Pat Patriot era was killed by Kraft/BB/Brady along with the Super Bowl wins. Pat Patriot needed to die. The Patriots were blue, not redcoats. The 90's Bledsoe era unis were too garish and tried to do too much. The new Patriots are nice. Let's just stick with Blue Jerseys/ Silver Pants at home, White Jerseys/Blue Pants on the road.

These would probably have been worn more than twice (Denver & Green Bay in '02) had the Pats not lost BOTH times. That's too bad because I liked this combo, although I would've preferred the dark blue socks.

The NFL is letting the AFL teams wear more than one throwback this year. In fact, the Broncos have orange alternates, their yellow/brown throwback, and their white/brown throwback.
