So, what's with the oline now?

Reiss has an article on how the Pats could fill in for Mankins. Cannon has not played thus far at anything but tackle this preseason, though that could change tonight.

I could've sworn at least one of the posters here who was at TC saw Cannon at guard (PFK? Joker? SBB?). Maybe Reiss missed it?

Or maybe he's right and all of this Cannon-to-guard speculation is groundless. I hope not, though, I'd feel a lot more comfortable with Cannon starting the season at RG than, say, Devey.

I somewhat recall what you're talking about. But Reiss is simply referring to the line combinations that have been used in games in preseason, not during practices. For all we know, Cannon has been playing guard during practice for the last two weeks when they became closed to public.

But simply going by what we've seen so far in the preseason games, Cannon isn't playing guard. And that means either Wendell is playing C or Kline and Devey are playing G with Connolly at C, most likely. Should be interesting. Hope Goog (new line coach) is on top of his game!
