Some good news, especially considering the number of players. Only one positive COVID test during the latest testing:

They didn't name the player, but did also say that seven other staff members did test positive. That's pretty remarkable given the number of staff members working throughout the league. And just one player is also surprising as well.

Let's hope the season works out the same way.

After the MA fiasco where the orig3n lab returned 400+ fake positive tests, everyone - including sports leagues - needs to make sure all these tests are in fact +tests and not false +. Orig3n also provided testing in NC. The scary thing is that state governments are basing their "subjects" freedoms based on these tests. We saw in Dedham, MA that an additional handful of cases sent the town into conniptions and they cancelled the start of REAL school.

DEDHAM, MA — Just a week before school is set to restart in Dedham, a series of parties is being blamed as the source of a COVID-19 cluster that brought the town's numbers up to the state designated red level. Because of the cluster, the School Committee unanimously voted to postpone in-person classes.
The parties happened between Aug. 29 and Aug. 31. The parties were mostly high school aged people and young adults, according to the Dedham Board of Health. There were 29 high school aged people at two of the gatherings, 16 of which tested positive for COVID-19. There were 12 young adults at the parties, nine of which tested positive, although only one is a Dedham resident.

This article is disingenuous because it says "high school aged" in an effort to, IMHO, support the closure of schools. IN fact, most of these 18-19 year olds are high school graduates and in college or working.

Anyway, point being, I really hope these leagues triple confirm that their results are accurate.

Saw one of the coaches on Hard Knocks get a false positive (I think it was Rex Ryan’s kid), so it’s already happened. I’m assuming the league has addressed that and that’s why he was retested. But you’re right, it will be interesting to follow this season.
