Too bad he never won the Big won....Sarcasm

Good runner, very good runner but PLEASE for you younger guys don't ever compare him to Jim Brown.

Jim Brown ran over you and didn't whine like a baby.

Apparently he is going to be on ESPN this saturday. Iam sure he will pick the patriots...

He has not retired yet but he did hint at it last week.

He's sitting alone somewhere at the end of a bench with helmet and visor on sobbing about lost opportunities.

I have no clue how he is going to go into announcing/analysis. The only two people on this planet who are harder to decipher when they talk are Shannon Sharpe and Corey Webster. Mumble, mumble, mumble, mumble.

Comparing Jim Brown to LT is about a pyss poor as it gets, and akin to comparing raisins to oranges... Jim Brown turned me on to this game, and nothing has ever compared to him.

no way he's retiring.

i bet he's looking for one more shot. The whiney bastid.

The only RBs that IMO can be brought into the discussion of comparing to Brown are Emmitt, Walter and Barry.

I'd remove Barry as power wasn't really his game which was a quality Emmitt and Walter had. He was close to Brown's career YPC. Just explosive.

Payton played every game with a bullseye on his back on mostly god awful teams. Sanders did too. Incredibly productive for a long time.

Emmitt played for great offensive lines and great teams so his job was a bit easier but that's a little weak. On the other hand he was incredibly productive for a long time and fumbled every 80 touches- great at ball security. Sanders was even better at 83 or so touches. Brown and Payton fumbled every 46 and 50 touches respectively. Still decent.

LT fumbled once every 127 touches which is incredible but doesn't have the ypc or career longevity that the other RBs that I mention had.

Great career though. He does deserve some props.

I'd still pick Brown.

Jim Brown is the greatest football player to ever live.

Tomlinson was the best back of his decade.

If you're really looking to compare an all time top runner to Brown, Earl Campbell's the guy.

I disagree. I've seem him on those United Fund ads and he seems to be fairly good with his pronunciation. A hell of a lot better than some of the idiots that ESPN has on the payroll.

For 3 years, not many were better.

Ring Nazi to LT "No Ring for you"!

Why does he need to retire?

He went to the Jets. That pretty much means he's either dead or | | that close to being dead. Watching the franchise implode while eating popcorn is very satisfying. Though it's more the team than the individual players.

i hope he continues to play for the jets till he is eligible for Medicare and i hope he never makes it to the playoffs during that time

I'd like the Patriots to sign LT.

I'd like the Patriots to sign LT so BB can cut him.

There's another runner who was great, but got beat up so bad i believe he has problems just walking.
Wish he could have gotten a ring.
