SI's McCann on the report and Brady's options

Brady has his legacy and reputation after football to worry about, he's gotta get his ass in gear and start fighting this thing, and be more open about it. He's not Bill Belichick, he can't be the bad guy the way Bill can.

I think we are all finally going to see the real Brady his teammates know so well.

The one thing that will be addressed is the fact that the league literally allowed the balls to go out on the field in the first half without being checked. this was a setup and/or sting operation and when the 32 owners put some thought into it, will be more concerned by this than any other part of this topic
Thats what really ticked me off.

How did the Colts become aware/concerned of the Patriots messing with the footballs in the first place?

Were the Patriots warned/notified prior to the AFCCG?

Why were the balls pulled? What event occurred to cause that action?

Kensil is clearly incompetent at his job

ummmm......no

he can simply say 'screw you guys, I'm outta here'

That's what he has done to date, and it has not worked out well for him PR wise. If all he cares about is football and not getting suspended, then so be it, he might be OK. But that's Belichick's thing, not Brady's. Brady cares about his image and his post-football career. As well he should, it is his right too, and it would be smart of him to do so.

It is Belichick who is the (wonderful) anti-social aberration who truly does not give a rat's ass about what anyone thinks of him. Brady is not this way, nor should we ask him to be.

Forget Brady. There are a couple of youtubes of a pissed off Gisele. Put her in front of Goody, Kensil, Grigson, Wells and McNally and she'll slit their throats and stuff their bodies in a oil drum.

Never mess with a Brazilian supermodel's man.

It doesn't sound like Brady actually directed/asked that the balls to be deflated, it says he was generally aware. So does the league expect Brady to step in act as an agent of the NFL and tell the staff its against the rules to lower the pressure on footballs? Thats what it sounds like, if they even were lowering the pressure. I understand this is different from the law where its not required to report a crime, but punishing someone because they knew something was occurring and not saying anything sounds a little over the top. Although Goodell is looking to deflect attention away from his handling of all the domestic abuse cases, and this gives him the perfect opportunity to look tough and in control. The Pats have become Godells personal pinata and Kraft has been an enabler.

I maybe missing something, reflex but my take is that TB12 had a standing order on the "feel" of the ball and it was not being followed (thus the discussion w/ Jasstremski). I don't think he was micromanaging the process. If what he said was true, and did consult the rulebook after the NYJ game or CHI game, then he did nothing wrong.

Thats what I believe anyway...

I know this is a little off topic, but after reading about how Brady should or will be suspended the punishment for playing with the air pressure is $25,000. so obviously its not considered much of an offense, or at least wasn't until the pats might have done it.

No its not but the $25k is a tangible, visible way of laying blame and indirectly calling Brady a liar.

It might as well be $1.00

I am actually looking forward to a suspension or a fine because it will bring the NFLPA into action and shed light on the pitiful crock of dung that is the Wells Report. The more light shed on its awfulness the better. The media can't seen to get beyond the executive summary.
