There have been many comments on this forum about his departure due to Ocho's arrival. Edelman could also take over in his place.

No, simple answer,I personally would be pissed if that happened, the guy is a football player, he's everything BB looks for in a football player. I just can't see it happening.

Should have contained one more option...should this poll thread be merged with the non poll trade Welker one that just got dumped in the practice squad forum... I would vote yes.

would you have unprotected sex w/ a woman that you know has HIV?

I swear ppl that want to Trade welker are drunk or smoking sherm

Not one yes so far

No, I wouldn't trade Welker. First, he offers more value to the Pats than any other team, so I don't think a team would offer what I believe would be a fair deal for him. Second, I don't think he will command too much as a free agent because he doesn't fit anyone else's system as well as the Pats. He will get paid, but I don't think it will be too much for the Pats to be comfortable with. Finally, he is the only WR on the roster that Brady has complete trust in. He obviously doesn't trust Tate, and he hasn't had enough of an opportunity to build trust in Edelman and Price. And Chad Eight-Five has only been with the Pats for a few days, so I think taking away Brady's most trusted weapon would be a terrible idea at the moment.

I say no.

what BB thinks and does is a different matter.

I wonder how difficult it will be to keep him on the roster next year with the cap the way it is.

You know a question is dumb when you ask it and no one says yes. Please kill this thread.

This GIF will never get old! Especially when talking about trading Welker!

He doesn't even play the same WR position as Ocho. Welker is the best slot receiver in the NFL. What is with all this garbage about trading him?

They shouldn't kill the thread they should just change the question from Would you trade Welker ? To are you completely F***ing brain dead.

35-0 say NO. Whty does this question keep coming up? Welker is Brady's go to guy. Trading Welker makes no sense.

Why?

1. The guy has everything you need in a player to win a Super Bowl - his 11 catches for 110 yards was almost as impressive as Branch's 11 catches that won him a SB MVP.

2. He is the only durable WR we have (outside of Chad85). He had the major knee injury but he is never down with a pulled hammy or bruised vulva like some other guys mays be.

3. I enjoy Edelman for the explosive aspect of his game, but the guy takes way too many clean licks (like the Ray Lewis hit) resulting in injury. Welker's trade mark is finding a way to get up after the worst of hits (Ryan Clark) or even the cheapest of shots (Smith-NYJ).

There is just something about the guy that maybe only Troy Brown had…can't put my finger on it or describe it. BUT HE HAS IT.

I should of voted yes.

Really...we all want to see what an 0-16 Pats team is like.

I think this poll is actually more one-sided than the one that asked if we should trade Brady and keep Cassell.
