No. absolutely not, if we were in the trade market for a corner why wouldn't we just trade for Lito at a lower price tag both draft pick and contract wise?

Nnamdi Asomugha is the best DB that is available (RFA). This is out of left field, but what if we offered Oakland a 3rd round pick this year for a player that is disgruntled because he got franchised (maybe a holdout?). Oakland is going to lose him eventually and all they will get back is a 3rd round compensatory selection in the draft the year after they lose him (3 years from now). They can get a 3rd round pick this year (a good year for DB's) and be in a better position in three years. They aren't going anywhere right now.

We are at our peak right now and I think we need a veteran at the LCB position. Lets do it before we slide down the other side of this mountain.

Hahaha WOW. I can't believe this. Now that NE got Randy Moss for a fourth means that NE only has to trade a second day pick for anyone they want? Riiiight. Like anyone, especially Oakland, is going to fall into that trap again. Why do you think they placed the exclusive tag on him? If they wanted to trade him, they'd just place the non-exclusive tag on him. Essentially the same thing, but now they have to pay him more.

Offer a third...seriously. Asomugha hasn't spoken out at all about being "disgruntled." LOL this is getting so funny. I've got an idea, why don't you also trade a fifth round draft pick for Peyton Manning so he could be a backup QB? Or a fourth for Trufant?

If Moss isnt signed, I honestly would strongly consider giving up our 1st and 3rd rounder to the Raiders and pay big bucks for Nhamdi Asomugha.

Not for two first round draft picks.

Asomugha was an unrestricted free agent not a restricted free agent. Also, the Oakland Raiders placed the franchise tag on Asomugha in February.
